Guest Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I believe he says "This next song...was when we recorded it" I believe he was telling everyone that the last time they played this song, was when they recorded it for Dookie. This tells me they have not played Sassafras Roots live, or ever, since they recorded it for Dookie. Amazing!! This is something I only dreamed that Green Day would do, and I thought it would never happen. This is awesome. I hope they come back to the USA and play Dookie, along with more pre-American Idiot songs. Could also be referring to WTP, which was originally recorded for Kerplunk then re-recorded and given a cleaner sound for Dookie.
Flyingdonutz Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 It's Dookie's 20th anniversary next year, and this was played at a festival. Any chance they had a film crew there recording them? And they plan to release a live Dookie tape? Dear lord that would be awesome.
-Billiejoezee- Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 excuse me while I cry over pulling teeth k thanks
Eduardo Pérez Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 That's epic awesomeness!!! I'd probably shit my pants if I hear them play Having a Blast and Chump.

Sylend Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 One of the best shows ever!!! So jealous for the people who was in that show By the way, someone on Facebook say that there were Professional cameras recording the show, if that's true, maybe that can be a DVD for the 20th anniversary?? I thought the same thing!
NastyB Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 My God what a show it was!! I am 45, and for 130 minutes of Green Day show with entire Dookie, I felt like a little (X-) kid again! Billie, Mike and Tre, thank you for that unforgettable night!
albert1285 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I watched In the End and it's too damn good. Way much better that I expected it could be. A great song live with a lot of energy.
ColinOr Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 WHAAAAAAAAT? Green Day played Dookie album live in full last night, fucking awesome!!!!!
timbojones Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 if they do this again on saturday at emirates i will actually LOSE MY SHIT!
Cath Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 if they do this again on saturday at emirates i will actually LOSE MY SHIT! i doubt they will. this one was special. maybe they'll do it again later but not every show.
Wow! That's Loud Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 After FOD they should have played Armatage Shanks then the crowd would be like 'omg! they're playing Insomniac now!!!'. After Armatage Shanks just go back to the regular setlist, just to mess with the crowd.

Cath Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 actually insomniac full would take around 30 minutes. it's their shortest album. and the 20th anniversary is coming soon
HolyHandGrenade Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 actually insomniac full would take around 30 minutes. it's their shortest album. and the 20th anniversary is coming soon I suppose they could add the Shenanigans songs from that era, and take Brain Stew and Panic song out to 10 minutes each with hey-ohs
BullwinkleCheech Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Call me spoiled, but I will only be satisfied if they play a show with Panic Song, Disentisized, Haha you're dead, Maria, Poprocks and Coke, Macy's Day Parade, No Pride and Stuart and the Ave. Oh, and add Extraordinary Girl to that. XD
iScottie Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQBS7jvs_3M 00:15 - Coming Clean 01:55 - Emenius Sleepus (finally know how to pronounce it the right way thanks to BJ announcing it haha) 03:47 - In The End 05:40 - F.O.D.
timbojones Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 i doubt they will. this one was special. maybe they'll do it again later but not every show. well it is a lot more likely now then it was a week ago. And they do love the UK. I'm not getting my hopes up too much though, we will see.........
PanicAttack! Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 "Sassafrats Roots" worked really well live! But "In The End" and "Pulling Teeth" didn't do it for me, but that's judging from a video. They should do three random shows in a row where the middle section of the show is respectively the whole of iUno!, iDos!, and iTré!. That way we would have a performance of all the songs and they could go back to the "stale" setlist of the same 5-6 new songs. But in the middle of the Dookie hype, did you all notice that "Nuclear Family" made its way back on the setlist? Good call, but too bad it was at the expense of X-Kid. I'm ready to celebrate Dookie's 20th birthday as soon as the trilogy's birth has been celebrated.

Cath Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I suppose they could add the Shenanigans songs from that era, and take Brain Stew and Panic song out to 10 minutes each with hey-ohs i agree. take out Brain Stew, St Jimmy, King For A Day,etc. but Panic Song out? kiutyujjilduasoduaslfinasufi no way.
SEAtacticsFTW Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 To anyone thats wondering if they recorded this. They have been recording this whole tour I think. Go look on live videos, you will see cameramen recording audio & video.
Todd Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 actually insomniac full would take around 30 minutes. it's their shortest album. and the 20th anniversary is coming soon It's about 35 Mins, but they perform the songs faster as they did with dookie, but the transfer between Brain Stew and Jaded would have all of those "Ole"S and shit. If they did do Panic Song, I wonder if they'd shorten the intro or make it longer.
Overjoyyed Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Oh OMG i can't even.. i just can't... lucky ass Serbians.. OH shit! why am I so happy about this? I wasn't even there and it will probably never happen again but ahh!!!!! :runaround: :runaround: :runaround:
