There's a thread for that. You should post it there. That's a good setlist!

And he should know by now with that many posts. For shame! :P

BTW, welcome to the local chapter of the Church of Grohl!

Probably about the shit he has been through.

Well yeah, twitch (Billie) was always drinking on stage. So there's most likely no return of Foxboro. But there's still (hopefully) the possibility of a different side project?

I think the closest thing you'll get to a side project is a compilation album filled with warning leftovers, cigarettes and valentines songs, and billie joe solo acoustic stuff like olivia, dreamcatcher, minnesota girl, oh girl, etc. Or maybe they will actually anonomously release that church death metal side idea in "This is 40." Haha

I just want a pure finished Green Day albums. No live album, no rushed three piece record. Just Green Day.

Another compilation album of unrealeased tracks would be a nice bonus

I hate to sound cliche. but I would love if they went back to their 90's sound on the next record.

Nice username there, pal. Agreed though.

I hope they won't return to a rock opera, just do a great mature, 45-50 minute record. Kind of like a follow up to Tre! in mood, but with more powerful guitars.

Yeah no doubt. and if you think i tried to steal your name. I didn't. I signed up for GDC without ever looking at the forums. that name just popped into my head. Insomniac being one of my favorite albums and 1985 the year I was born.

I think they should choose one of the trilogy styles/themes, either the iUno!, iDos! or iTre! style/theme, and make an album in that styletheme, but more songs than 12 or 13 in the album. Keeping the same sort of song lenghs as well, around 3-4 minutes on average, but more songs in the album.

Where as every song in the trilogy hasn't been that top top quality, there is still loads of songs in the trilogy, like Rusty James and DRB, that are of that top quality, and even though they all arne't, hey, we got 37 songs. That is pretty damn awesome, and seeing one of the album styles/themes developed is something that would be great to see in my opinion

I'd buy some Norwegian death metal from them. Something you can cry to, and burn a church down to at the same time.

Possibly something more Punk? I know the band has always said they are not really punk, but that it's more of a really big influence on them. They could do a classic punk style record, something in the vein of the Sex Pistols, the Ramones, the Clash. ?????????

I'd like to hear something more folky like warning mixed with the trilogy

I don't really know what you mean by this. I feel like the majority of the trilogy is as punk as they've ever been in the past, and really not that far off from The Clash or The Ramones.

I agree!!! Just listen to Bille Joe's guitar solos and especially Mike's bass solo in Dirty Rotten Bastards!!!!

Well, it will certainly be a while. North American tour this Fall, Australia in the Spring.

North American tour in the fall? They're coming back around again?

I could see Billie Joe doing more guest vocals on other artists songs, like the new "I Run NY". How about Green Day doing an entire album of rap music? With guest appearances by the Lonely Island, Lil Wayne, The Game, Jay-Z and Twista and Cee Lo Green.

Green Day: Alive, Gloria. Alive!

1. Dripping Wet

2. My Dog loves you so

3. My sick twisted love song

4. Brutal Love II

5. Calculated Mistake

6. You’re a Dying Breed

7. Oh Jesus

8. The Last Man Standing

9. Viva La Dead

10. F.O.D. II

11. Zombie

12. Flashing Red Lights

13. F*** the Bullocks

14. Oh Girl

15. Dreamcatcher

16. Bad Rubbish

As good of a guess as any.

I'm not a fan of I run NY, but as entertaining as Nightlife was, I think I've had my fill of 'rap' or 'hip hop' style music from Green Day.

They should just release an album of everything that didn't make it to the trilogy

If what made the trilogy was mediocre to perfect, I honestly don't wanna hear what was cut out for the trilogy except for the different lyrics, state of shock, and dream catcher

that's a total opinion thing. I mean there's quite a few songs that didn't make it that we haven't heard (Satellite, I'm Alright, etc.) so I wouldn't be too quick to say that you dont wanna hear it

Yes, let's direct his experimentation back to the genius work of Warning.

I always wondered what could their new album be, it should be like, the sound of Warning + American Idiot. It's like, two parts, y'know like 21st Century Breakdown but two parts only. First part is the songs that sound like Warning and part two would sound like American Idiot. The whole calm and cool (Warning) part is first, then second is the rock-opera (American Idiot) part. I'm guessing no one is agreeing with me but, it could be a good idea.
