Caroline Daniels Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 If there isn't any rap it will be fine. If there is rap in it I might cease to exist. If it kicks ass my life will be complete!
Otis Big Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I hope that it's a deeper, slightly heavier sound. With some of the best Green Day lyrics there are.
WhiteTim Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Unfortunately I don't think the promo will happen they're amazing songs fuck those who don't think they were...I haven't even heard xkid on the radio so I think the label gave up on them which is a shame all sorts go to rehab and their albums are still heavily promoted... Ya know what pisses me off if say bieber was in billies situation they'd have no problem pushing his shit but when it comes to real pure rock nope they dismiss it gd should be at the top of the charts not fucking Nikki manaj or one direction this generation is terrible "god love you all... - Billie they'll be back with something edgy I think it could turn around this bs so called music even and bring back real rock into the mainstream again... Like Jason said this band can still do so many things and Billie can do so many things we don't know about. I have faith thanks if you read this Labels have changed yeah 5-10 years ago a label would promote an album with a artist missing in action but nowadays if an artist isn't available to tour do tv shows interviews they not gonna invest the millions of dollars promo costs the label and money the band has to pay back Im not say the promo will be but it could be

But ya it may have a chance

But ya it may have a chance It's not really turning back but labels can't just spend money and risk not getting it back escp when the last album wasn't a huge seller and took a very long time to make a profit on. If Green Day was on a 360 deal Warner could have made up faster but since GD is not on a 360 deal Warner only gets paid back by album sales where as a 360 theyd get paid by album sales plua concert tickets merchendise etc It's crappy from a fan's stand point but business wise it's the only way now if a rich fan wants to donate 10-15 million for promo they'll promote the hell out of it lol

I wonder how much money is also lost on album sales simply because people can share music and not pay for it how much that will affect sales

Sanity Loan Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Let's start putting these lists in spoilers please. Thanks
Hermione Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I haven't got anywhere near digesting the three albums they've just released yet! I love them all and they'll keep me going for a long time to come. Whatever it's like it'll be great I'm sure, at this point I just hope it ends up getting promoted properly unlike the Trilogy and 21st CB. I've resigned myself to not caring about anything other than the music and live performances this time since otherwise being disappointed is inevitable, but it'd be nice to see the promotion side of things work out next time.
WhiteTim Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 [*]Soda Pop Curtis [*]DUI Soda Pop Curtis is Rusty James original title They wouldnt ever release DUI they seem to regret recording it
Joe Van Winkle Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 I wonder if they will ever properly record the song Minnesota Girl, which Billie Joe wrote about his wife Adrienne
DookieLukie Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Let's convince Pete Wentz to redirect the boatloads of cash from Save Rock and Roll I hear he's a fan Boatloads of cash? Save Rock and Roll did worse than Uno so far!
HolyHandGrenade Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Boatloads of cash? Save Rock and Roll did worse than Uno so far! ... Boatloads of yen? Regardless, FOB made a miraculous comeback. Soda Pop Curtis is Rusty James original title They wouldnt ever release DUI they seem to regret recording it OK, release Rat Does Cheese instead
Spoopy Doo Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I don't know, I'm still busy enjoying the trilogy. IDK, I sorta hope it's not another rock opera.
DookieLukie Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 ... Boatloads of yen? Regardless, FOB made a miraculous comeback. OK, release Rat Does Cheese instead Not really...
Overjoyyed Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I kind of wish it is another Rock Opera. I think it is what they do best. Or at least more story songs like Misery.
