Billie did gain weight, but not so much. He's 45 years old. It's normal that he doesn't have a 25 years old body anymore. Plus, with all the drugs he had in the past, his body reacts to the fact that he is sober now. Some drugs cause people to not be hungry (they don't feel it) and then they skip meals. If the person is sober, the body searches a way to compensate what is missing, which can result with a gain of weight. In any cases, we don't know exactly what Billie took as drugs. So, I will just say it's plausible he gained weight because he is sober and 45 years old, but I will stop there. (Wow! I never knew I would someday use what I learned in psychology classes years ago to analyze Billie Joe Armstrong's belly!)

Billie is fine. He looks great for a 45 years old man. He has a beautiful belly.

It's completely natural to gain or lose some weight once in a while, especially if it's not a major rapid weight gain/loss.

I don't want to get into any speculation, but judging from what he's capable of physically, he must be pretty damn fit, no matter what his belly looks like or how many chins he has atm.

He was way too thin in 2012 anyway for reasons you mention. He was at his pudgiest post rehab weight in early 2014 at Soundwave Sydney but I thought he looked great. He's actually thinner now but when you get older it all goes to your middle. In 2014 he was still gaining it in his face and upper body so it looked different on him than it does now (kind of like back in the fat Elvis days)

I totally agree!

Billie, stop eating at McDonalds and surf more!

He basically works out 2 hours 3-4 times a week and walks miles most days too. I'd say exercise isn't the problem. Just stay away from the crap fast food.

Funny you should say that because I actually noticed it in his face before his belly. And I only noticed the latter because he wears such tight pants, haha. It's subtle because he really put on such a small amount of weight (we're all acting like he gained 50 pounds!). I actually was looking at photos of him for weeks and was like "something is different about his face....more wrinkles?...no....different facial hair?..no...." I couldn't place why he just looked noticeably different and older since like November but I think it's the slight weight gain.

Yeah he still does gain it in his face but not so much the arms and chest like he used to.

I don't think we need to speculate about Billie's weight and health. His weight has never been extreme or out of the ordinary and you can't judge someone's health just by looking at their weight anyway, and it just seems kind of intrusive to scrutinize someone's weight like this, so let's end this discussion now.

Yes, no one has to justify his/her weight, food, body shape or physical activity.

I personally don't like the idea of Billie following a calorie counter account, but I'll let it to his own appreciation.

Yeah, gotta love them! And I still can't believe how fucking cool this prize is. A private Green Day show at your home, just imagine that. I'd kill to be able to participate:cry:

I love his belly. Recently when I showed my husband some new Green Day photos, he immediately said: "Billie Joe has gained weight, hasn't he?" (My husband saw them live once in 2010 with me). And I was like:angry:

Even if he has gained a couple of pounds, I'm totally fine with it. He's happy and healthy and sober, and he looks fantastic. A little belly suits him, it somehow makes him more "normal" and thus even sexier.

Those new pictures are so beautiful. The last one where he looks so lost in thoughts:wub:

Yep I totally agree he suits it and I love seeing him so happy and healthy! He just keeps getting better and better

Yes, he must have enormous lung capacity. I get winded only watching him.

Billie, if you read this somehow, know that your belly is the first thing that allowed me to get rid of my 10-year-long anorexia (and believe me, I'd seen other bellies before ;))!
