He was as tongue tied as I...we both just said Hi! (I ran into him accidentally at the "Ordinary World" Premiere.) I was stunned speechless! If I ever meet him I'd only say hi to him as I'd probably be too nervous to say anything else! I wouldn't want to make a fool of myself in front of him by stumbling through a question
jengd Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 I haven't spent a lot of time really thinking about this as it's so unlikely, I have met lots of people, not stars but royalty, politicians etc over the years but have never been starstruck by any of them. These guys though, I think I would fall over, my fears are two-fold, one is that they would be really obviously thinking "who is this old woman and what does she want" and the other is that it would be one of those private situations where you feel you shouldn't interrupt but know you'll never get the chance again and will regret it your whole life if you don't say something.

I would probably get really shy. I'm kind of socially awkward around people I don't know. I feel uncomfortable. Same! I haven't gotten the chance to meet them yet but if I ever do, I know I will be incredibly awkward!!!
belinda jane Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 i'd probably just talking about some random bullshit that has nothing to do with them at all, haha. i would definitely have to try and distract myself from remembering that i'm meeting green day (not that it'll happen, but just in case).
LisaBJA Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 think when i dont stop looking at billie's pics, then im going to die because of this overcuteness!!! damn....im really fangirling at the moment

Your first fear is invalid, of course they won't think that! The second one, no, you should always interrupt lol I'm sure you'll do it in a nice way that they wouldn't mind Btw, it's so cool that you met all those people!

The cat is not even impressed Hey cat, do you know how lucky you are?! And who that man is?!
jengd Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Maybe that's the way round it, bring your pet, they all have dogs, you'll all start talking animals and it'll be fine, this could start a trend! Totally talking my bearded dragons to the London show now haha!

Cats in general aren't easily impressed. That's what I love about that picture - any human who came at that M&G would be like but the kitty is totally cool, like "wtf guys, why are you even taking pics".

So jealous of that cat...
Wretched & Divine Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 I keep my shit together so well when I'm meeting someone (Daniel Radcliffe, Robbie Williams, Roger Federer) aside from some trembling, and then I tend to do this awesome thing where I will fall over and/or start hysterically crying when they are gone. So smooth
Mykee Mexx Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Just saw Billie Joe crying over a song or the end of the recording, trying to hide his emotions, a tear rolling down his cheek, ... oh, dear sweetie pie, let me comfort you...

Is that the one where they finish recording Whatsername (and technically American Idiot)?! If it is, I saw that last week! It's really emotional because they really put everything they had into making AI and sacrificed a lot to do it!

I saw LFDF ages ago, I must have been 12 or 13 and probably was too preoccupied with trying to understand than anything else (Tim Armstrong, dammit ). I agree it was a pretty bad movie - it's all for shock value and that got boring after a while. I still might have it somewhere so I could re-watch - all I remember now is Billie's over-the-top mesiah voice and gross sex jokes.
LisaBJA Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 billie and this cat soooo cute! my fav person and my fav animal together in one pic
