jengd Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 God I love this thread! Nothing like coming in from a rubbish day at work to a discussion about BJ plucking his eyebrows. Leave them alone I say, with his gorgeous eyes and beautiful face he can look quite feminine so for heavens sake leave the eyebrows but I agree, don't let them get out of control. That last picture GenXIdiot posted always freaks me out slightly, in some ways it hardly looks like him, I don't know if it was because he was so thin at that time but it's weird for me.

Yes that is the one where he looks like he has 4 eye brows. I'm fine with him having eye brows, but there should be 2

I like that picture no matter how many eyebrows he has. It's a very close detail and I actually find it very nice. Btw, I found this article on voice change, it suggests it's not in fact so uncommon. http://www.phillyvoice.com/infrequently-asked-questions-why-does-our-voice-change-we-age/
jengd Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Interesting article. I could believe that there are a lot of things that would have affected Billie's voice over the years, not least the drinking, drugs, smoking and the amount of singing he does at times. A couple of years of only performing a few times as opposed to a year of world touring and singing for the better part of three hours every couple of nights must have a impact. Also, there's just plain being excited about something, not feeling too well, being at the football match last night etc etc. I think his voice has always been high at times, a lot of singers do have high speaking voices and I bet he was trying very hard in some of those really early interviews to be cool, nowadays he's much more relaxed about all that. I love his Californian accent too, as a Brit it always makes me laugh when people say he was trying to sound English. There's no way he sounds anything other Californian to me.
GenXIdiot Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I had speech therapy for a while due to voice fatigue from teaching and singing in class, and I learned to speak in a higher register as a healthier way of using my voice. It really works. No more fatigue! So my teaching voice is always higher than my normal voice. I wonder if Billie Joe learned about this as well? They way he speaks high, kind of in his nose, is healthy for his singing voice, which is lower.

That think you may have gotten it!

When you have to speak a lot, your voice suffers from it and since Billie needs his voice quite often he might've learned that
RedundantIdiot Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I know the film poster is plain weird.. but Billie does look cute on the poster. Can't wait to fangirl over this film

Hermione Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Can't say I find it that cute when it looks like his head stuck on someone else's (taller) body . Billie with glasses and stubble is always cute though so the little picture's alright

Chin for a Day Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 It is actually a scene from the movie that they photo shopped onto a red background. So, the background may make it look funny, but it is an actual scene. He is actually smashing his daughters guitar and it has a dinosaur on it
Maid Meringue Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 To me it looks like his left arm was photoshopped onto his body but I adore everything about it. I like when he looks like an ordinary (no pun intended) middle aged guy, as opposed to a rock god figure with his makeup and AI/21stCB-era outfits. In nerdy-joe mode, he looks like someone you could cuddle up with in a cozy cafe while it's raining outside..... and now i need to take a cold shower.
unextraordinarygirl Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I can't wait to see this movie. I'm so glad we finally got a date to look forward to. I like his look in the movie too. He looks like a teddy bear to snuggle with. Damn, cold shower here I come! Hahaha
UNICORN VOMIT Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 What's this snuggle & cuddle rubbish 😝😙 cmon.

RedundantIdiot Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Continuing the Ordinary World fangirling, I'm loving the grey flecks of hair, the glasses, and the stubble. He looks so charming and perfectly suited to the character.
