True, man. I'd have loved it if they made Murder City and Peacemaker singles, too.

Plus, if I had it my way I would have directed the video for Horseshoes and Hand grenades and got a whole bar fight going!

I also have in my mind the video for the Peacemaker.I'm sure that your video would be better than Know Your Enemy. This video sucks!

To be honest, I haven't listened to the Triology in maybe a few months and I don't miss it so I guess that means no Triology for me. 21st CB, on the other hand, I do love. Not as much as AI, for example, but it speaks more to me than Uno, Dos and Tré together.

And I agree about the bad choice of singles!

I think the only thing I dislike about 21CB were the singles: I was fine with Know Your Enemy and while I like 21 Guns, I wouldn't have picked it for a single. But Last of the American Girls? Bleh. I just don't like that song. They definitely could've picked something better.

Uhh, I know. I don't know what they saw in that song, but I think it's the worst track on the album. Anything would have been better than that...

I know. I think it took me about 3 months to finally watch the video because I didn't want to hear the song again. It's definitely my least favorite GD song ever.

There's no way you can really compare 21CBD and the trilogy. They're way too different, you need to appreciate each work for what it is. I love the grand sweep of 21CBD, it hits me right in the feels. But, the trilogy is perfect for chilling out and just listening to some Green Day.

So you're a 'love it all equally' gal? :D

Well, I don't really like The Trilogy. I mean it's not for me, there're even some songs I quickly skip while listening to my iPod. I guess it's for the style and lack of one really good song, I mean there are good songs, but none of them really stands out for me, it's all just meh.. I don't get this sort of a new different style, it reminds me a bit of Warning, but I liked Warning and I don't like The Trilogy, there's less energy or something idk. I loved 21st Century Breakdown as it came out and I still love it a lot, although the choice of the singles was very weird. (Anyway the best GD albums for me will always be Kerplunk, Dookie and AI)

Also, Last of the American Girls is one of my favorite songs. Billie's strong female characters =

Oh, I love the way he writes about women. Gloria, Whatshername, She and 'Kill' for Blood, Sex and Booze...they're all awesome. I'm just not a LoTAG fan.

Anyway, it's really amazing to hear a dude write so passionately with a feminist perspective.

That's why Billie is awesome and amazing :D

poor Dos doesn't have a vote yet lol

IKR? I don't see why people weren't satisfied with it. It's my favorite from the trilogy (with ¡Tré! as a close second). The songs were fun, and I think it's even better when played after Stop, Drop, and Roll!!!, and actually there are some resemblances between some of the songs ("Mother Mary"/"Stray Heart" and "27th Ave. Shuffle"/"Wow! That's Loud," for example). Not to mention, "Fuck Time" was originally a FBHT song, and "Stray Heart" had been played as a warmup song.

I can't remember if I posted in here already... Well, yesterday morning I would have said the trilogy hands down. But I gave 21stCB a thorough listen in my car yesterday and I pretty much had a religious emotional experience. While I actually do love the trilogy and think it might be some of their best work, 21stCB legitimately gave me goosebumps and shivers. Any album that can do that takes the cake without a doubt.

Going with my earlier post, my "relationship" with 21st Century Breakdown is a sort of complicated, on/off kind. I think 21 Guns and Know Your Enemy may be filler (funny, lots seem to think See the Light is the filler. :P), but in recent months I've come to appreciate the album a lot more than I did initally

21st Century Breakdown. I can't get into the trilogy.

I really just find it hard to compare the two. They're totally different sounds all together and two different concepts.

But that's just my opinion, of course :)
