Keith Baldwin Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I'd like to hear the new guitars but I have no problem with the guitars in the new albums, maybe put them a bit louder for smoe songs but that's about it
ghesboro Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I'd like to hear a version of Fuck Time with that orgasmic solo featured on Cuatro, but I'm curious to hear what they're doing in general.
DannyDirnt Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 They should remix Fuck Time. The overproduction killed the fun in that song.
St3veHimself Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 This is probably the weird project he talked about in This Is 40.
WhiteTim Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 They should remix Fuck Time. The overproduction killed the fun in that song. fuck time is a prime example of a live song meaning studio will never be as fun as the live
DannyDirnt Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 This is probably the weird project he talked about in This Is 40. He talked about a weird project? Can I have a link or something so I can know what he said, please?
OneSongInFrench Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 How about, I really am not going to speculate a thing. It's pointless! lol Cool Billie is doing something with guitars!
11Greendayfan Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Cant wait for these remixes! I want them to be released in a Best of Trilogy album type thing. Like International Superhits.
Jean Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 He talked about a weird project? Can I have a link or something so I can know what he said, please? I think he means the Norwegian Death Metal scene...
Gwen Stacy Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 This is probably the weird project he talked about in This Is 40. No, that was a deleted scene for a movie. And a joke.
LPbilliejr Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Dookie was a $1, 500 amp modded to have evrn more distortion. Stop talking. Bull, that amp was a vintage 1959 SLP, know your shit, not a damn reissue. Stop talking
St3veHimself Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 No, that was a deleted scene for a movie. And a joke. Yes I'm aware. I was just making a joke.
michael1989 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Well, so far they've mentioned: Stay the Night Stray Heart Wild One Missing You 99 Revolutions Brutal Love Dirty Rotten Bastards 4 out of 7 they're currently playing live. And they've expressed interest in playing DRB live. So it wouldn't surprise me if this was a re-release that they want to support on the tour.
TimmyChunks Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Wow, lots of testiness on this board...we're all passionate about the subject, but shouldn't we type to others as we would speak with them in person? For example, I would never tell a stranger to "stop talking already". I would just make the point and let it stand on its own validity without resorting to nastiness to hammer it home. But I guess internet forums follow different rules of conversation and discourse, unfortunately. Now, back on topic...I find it hard to believe that they would be sharing the specifics of what they were doing in the studio unless they planned to share the results with the public at some point. But that's obviously speculation and I guess we'll just wait and see.

It's a social media site, I once told Facebook that the HIV virus is my spirit animal. Not everything posted actually means something.

Sounds like he's on track to remixing the greatest hits of the trilogy
TimmyChunks Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 This isn't "They" it's Billie and it's on Instagram. It's a social media site, I once told Facebook that the HIV virus is my spirit animal. Not everything posted actually means something. Well, that's true, but I think there's probably more of a basis to believe that Billie's multiple Instagram posts of remixing guitars of specific Trilogy songs in the studio is probably more related to potential news or actual factual events than your post about "HIV being your spirit animal". But that's just my take, again- as I stated- this is just speculation on my part. Isn't speculation a major reason for why we're here discussing it?
justcause Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Now, back on topic...I find it hard to believe that they would be sharing the specifics of what they were doing in the studio unless they planned to share the results with the public at some point. But that's obviously speculation and I guess we'll just wait and see. I think we'll see it on the tour - I think it's about bringing the Trilogy songs out loud and making them work in the context of the whole set and the kind of show that Green Day puts on.
Todd Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Yeah, people really should stop saying 'they'. Mike just suffered a loss and Tre just got a new tatoo. They're just fucking around during their free time, and unless we get another picture from Billie, than this might have just been him teasing us. I know that's not like him, but there's no one else there remixing, they wouldn't release an album or EP just made and approved by Billie, they'd all put a say in on the sound and go from there

We don't know if that's the case right now or not, so whether it's just Billie or the whole band or a collaboration with Van Morrison augmented by backing vocals sung by the Harlem Globetrotters remains to be seen. Let the waiting continue...
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 and I want them to go on The Ellen Show. SO FUCKING BAD. This. They should remix Fuck Time. The overproduction killed the fun in that song. And this. This is probably the weird project he talked about in This Is 40. But this post wins. Hahaha, he's trolling us all with Norwegian death metal! But I guess internet forums follow different rules of conversation and discourse, unfortunately. Um, duh? It's the Internet. Nobody is civilized 'round these parts. Respectful conversation? Nah. I'm somewhat fucking with you. But yeah, you can't take much of anything seriously on Internet forums once an argument about a heated topic begins. Yeah, people really should stop saying 'they'. Mike just suffered a loss and Tre just got a new tatoo. They're just fucking around during their free time, and unless we get another picture from Billie, than this might have just been him teasing us. He told us on Twitter that their "next album" was only going to be released on cassette tape. He's fucked with us before. Maybe not to the extent of this hype, but he could easily just be screwing around.
jacknovella Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 How long until the next leg of the tour starts? I imagine whatever Billie Joe's doing will be wrapped up by then amd possibly released/leaked?
DannyDirnt Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Only one who's a bit bummed that so far they've only mentioned the poppiest listen-able songs in the whole trilogy except for DRB? I hope they'll announce faster punchier songs.
michael1989 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Only one who's a bit bummed that so far they've only mentioned the poppiest listen-able songs in the whole trilogy except for DRB? I hope they'll announce faster punchier songs. Listen-able I'd agree with. I know you said poppiest, which is relative, but none of them are poppy. Catchiest maybe. With the exception of Wild One, those are some of my favourite tracks from the trilogy. If they throw in Let Yourself Go and Kill the DJ it would be perfect!
