pasalaska Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 While I love getting these videos and having the chance to ask the band questions, I wish Tre would drop the act just a little sometimes. I just want answers not forced funny-man attempts it's always more enjoyable when interviews are natural and not forced. Also, that van is ridiculous. In a good way. Mostly because of the dog pictures.
Asa. Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Am I the only one who watched this and thought the music was too loud to hear what they were saying half the time?
Sanity Loan Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 What a pointless interview. My goodness. Grow up.

I have 100% resigned myself to that fact that a Tre Cool interview can *only* be used for shits and giggles. Which is a damn shame because he probably has really intelligent things to say, if he wanted to. That being said, I felt like he answered all the questions worth answering, and gave bull shit answers to the more bull-shitty questions. We learned things from him, and the first song he learned on drums probably *was* bop-bee-dee-boo." Mike is definitely the most capable and best interviewee in the band. Billie tries hard, but he's just not articulate enough

Aside from those with straightforward answers, for most questions in these types of interviews the options are either a boring answer we've heard a hundred times before or a jokey answer so I'm glad to have the jokey answer! They were all either straightforward or lighthearted so he gave straightforward and lighthearted answers accordingly. I'm glad Tre doesn't take himself so seriously that he'd try to give serious answers to fun questions and questions that he's been asked loads of times before (where a serious answer would just be boring and repetitive). Also, have you ever seen or heard of this person called Tre Cool before?

In the straightforward answer category that one. I liked most of them though, straightforward and jokey ones are all good as far as I'm concerned, it's only ones that have been asked loads before that I disapprove of. Yours and the Dominated Love Slave one were two never before asked questions that both gave us never before heard interesting song info I believe. Not bad for a "pointless interview"!

I know he likes to joke, and I admire that about him, but come on. He never answers questions properly lol I don't remember the name of the interview, but it was both Mike and Tre and they would simply skip questions. That actually pissed me off. If that happened to me and they just skipped my question or didn't try to answer, I would be pissed.

I think what you mean is never trust people in creepy vans! Lol. Everybody bitching that Tre can't do serious interviews etc...please! Why so serious?! Lol. The past few months have been intense...why not have some comic relief?! At least he is actually funny. He has been serious in the past in many, many interviews and I actually believe he is the textbook definition of "I'm a smartass but I'm playing dumb" (for OUR goddamn amusement most of the time) but I don't see why this Q & A needs to turn into a debate about his behaviour...he is just trying to make it fun. Lighten the fuck up.

I only learned like two days before I asked that he named Private Ale. I should have asked him what they called it before he named it. Don't songs pretty much always have working titles?

I guess when they take the time to give it an interesting/weird name it's usually because the working title wasn't very interesting, so I imagine his answer would've most likely either been an uninteresting working title or "I don't remember". Asking why he called it Private Ale was a much better choice.

Also, have you ever seen or heard of this person called Tre Cool before? Exactly! After all, this is Tre we're talking about...what did you expect the interview to be like? I think we all had a pretty good sense of how he'd handle it. Tre is a unique personality, but I'll give him this much: he's certainly consistent. Also, I never complain about their interviews or personality quirks (Billie-"y'know", Tre-zany) since we follow them because we love their music, not because they're the most gifted orators or incredibly introspective/ brilliant interviewees!

Cath Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 The second part of the interview is now on Idiot Nation for those who can watch!!
~ Walking Contradiction Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Gonna see it now There's something wrong with some questions, some of them appear for a second or two at random
jordanlolss Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I love how none of Tre's answers are serious haha
Schlappy Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I honestly dont care if he isnt serious, he makes me laugh and thats all i need. Besides most on the questions are either boring or obvious. Tre seriously needs a radio show or something
brianbags Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 For the people talking about how he could have given real answers and that some of the questions were dumb...there is the one about how he plays so fast. Not a dumb question at all many people wonder that. Wish he really answered that.
Annie, get your gun Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I can't watch it!!! Slow internet's fault
Hermione Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Fabulous stuff! Wish he really answered that.I don't think it's a dumb question and I admit the cat food thing is getting a bit old , but I don't really think there's anything particularly interesting or revealing he could've said if he'd given a serious answer. He can play fast because he has a talent for drumming and has played for years and built up his strength and stamina, there's no special secret to it.
Annie, get your gun Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Ok, after lots of couple minutes I watched it. It's weird how they repeat certain parts from pt 1 -Somebody asked him about his dog haha and ohh... Tré is stalking somebody
