alexgrogan Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 To be me, to stand up for what I believe in and not to believe everything you see/hear. I started listening to them when I was 8 years old and now I'm 18. They've definitely helped mold who I have become.
happyXamp Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 to go into the Music Industry, and from there I learned that I wanted to go into Concert Technology..
isuckatthesethings Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Their music gave me a different view on things like politics and religion. Ans most of all, they introduced me to rock/punk music and I learned playing guitar. 21st Century Breakdown was the first full album I bought and it made me feel awesome and gave me the feeling that I wanted to be in a band, which I am now
Mary711 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 The most obvious thing they inspired me to do is probably travelling around the globe. No matter where, no matter how far. What comes along with that is just living my dream and being myself without taking care of what others may think about it or if they can understand or relate to it. I'm doing what I feel in my heart that's great and makes me feel complete a little more.
justagrouch Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 To be true to myself. I probably would've been that somehow without Green Day, but I still feel like they did do something.
Dirty Rotten Bastard Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 To be myself and not give a shit if people don't like me for who I am. They taught me to stand up for myself and not take shit from anybody. I'm a writer too, It's my passion to write and they keep me motivated to do that. They inspired me to play guitar and write songs. They also inspired me to sort my life out, put myself together, and they got me through some really bad depression. They inspired me to listen to all these different bands, too. I'd honestly be lost without them.
redundant22 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 to deal with lyrics, politics and society, music and people in a way I would never have without them. &, as something they probably inspired everyone to: to be myself and not being afraid of being in a minority. (: 'you taught me how to live.'
MaraGreenDay Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 To be myself, and if the people don´t like that, fuck it, it´s my life!! They inspired me to write poetry, to stand up for myself, to know that if you´re different it´s ok and you´re not to be afraid of that. For them i start to listen rock and roll and i´m so thankful for that, they made me who i´am now and that´s why i love them so much. I will be lost without them, probably i wouldn' be here right know...... Oh, and to know that sexuality it´s a very beautiful thing and to be proud of it........
HolidayContradiction Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 To be the MINORITY! stand up for what I believe and learn English. Learning English might have come bfeore those other two though
PigSniffingGlue Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 to have a SMASHING taste in socks. haha, jk. Be myself, be even more open minded then I was and not to follow dumb rules of society. To think for myself and to question everything. Their music also inspires me a lot as an artist , and they are inspiring me to follow my dream of becoming an animator / artist. ..or something like that, I'm not even sure yet
NaughtyBubblewrap Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 To keep going when it felt like it was impossible to.
EastCaitNowhere Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I know it's already been mentioned... but to say y'know more, it's become a habit.
Keith Baldwin Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 As well as little things such as songwriting and performing, Green Day inspired me to stand up for myself to people who were disrespected me, confidence and most importantly Green Day inspired me to get the girl of my dreams because they made me somehow believe in myself that I could get the one I was dreaming about for about year
ThibautDookie Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Don't give a fuck to the persons that disrespect you.
pasalacquaian Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 they've inspired me to follow my love of music, and because of this I've had some great experiences and met a lot of new people And, I now have a notorious habit of saying 'y'know?' a lot
Judges daughter 93 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 1.TO LIVE. No matter what kind of shit happens. Just carry on. 2. To play the piano, the GUITAR, sing and look for inspiration everywhere. 3.. To believe in myself and to do what I believe in. Don't give up and don't listen to people trying to dictate my life. 4. To let my dreams slowly come true ( believe in them happening I mean ). 5. THEY SHOWED ME THERE IS ANOTHER WORLD, A REALITY DIFFERENT FROM THE FOGGY ONE I WAS STUCK IN. 6. To be myself and tell what I think, not lie. 7. They helped me to gain self-confidence. And not look on the others for a hint on what to do, just to f**k the way the society in going.
Eva Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Play about four million musical instruments. Start listening to punk. Fuck with society. The usual.
MaterialDiamond Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 To go after my dreams no matter how hard it may be/ how long it may take
may10 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Basically the same like everyone!!To be myself, live without Warning play my guitar everytime I look at my Green Day poster I sing "YOU TAUGHT ME HOW TO LIVE..."
