musso_kn Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 It wasn't "every little detail". He'd been ill but was almost recovered, so she posted a photo of him feeling better where he happened to have a drip in his arm. No one criticized the fact that she posted the photo at the time, there was nothing wrong with it. I'm finding it very tiresome to see every past photo and video and occurrence being dragged up and analyzed, and worse Billie's family being criticized and judged, just because Billie's been in rehab. I find comments fitting that description on here and GDA much more annoying than any random silly Green Day haters comments. I haven't even seen the photo. From what I had heard it seemed that she had posted a photo of him in a critical state, which is why it seemed inappropriate to me. If he was feeling better, then I guess that's fine. That's all. I'm not hating on her like the users on the RS website, and I am not particularly enraged by her actions either. I have no desire to bitch and whine about a woman who only happens to be married the frontman of my favourite band on GDA, GDC or any other site on the Internet. I'm simply passing a tiny, insignificant judgement, a personal opinion, as we all do in regards to people we deal with in our everyday lives. I might have misjudged the incident because I was not well informed, but I am hardly on par with overemotional, obsessive, childish fans.

There's just been a lot of over-analysing of old stuff on here and GDA and elsewhere in the Green Day world lately, from slight over-analysis to massive over-analysis. I wasn't talking about you in the second paragraph of my post, probably should've expressed that more clearly.
desecrator09 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Who cares what they say, it just means they're insecure and want attention from everybody.
Judges daughter 93 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 All great bands have an enormous fan base and the bigger one of haters. For me it seems normal - people need to be in opposition to something so that they can fight their own low self-confidence feeling this way. Billie Joe was right in what he wrote in "99 Revolutions" - HISTORY WILL PROVE ITSELF IN THE HALLS OF JUSTICE AND LOST SOULS!
HARVESTER Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Haters hate, hate the haters, the haters hate you back... repeat. Why not throw some logic at them?
Judges daughter 93 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Haters hate, hate the haters, the haters hate you back... repeat. Why not throw some logic at them? Welcome to the World without Logic, where you'll see that after sometime, slowly but surely, you will start hating on yourself without even noticing it! - my proffesor's words on his own Internet excursions
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Although I hate any comments bashing on things I like, sometimes it's a good indicator of how relevant that thing is. I'd rather see a bunch of hateful comments than none at all - that's when you get scared.
HARVESTER Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Although I hate any comments bashing on things I like, sometimes it's a good indicator of how relevant that thing is. I'd rather see a bunch of hateful comments than none at all - that's when you get scared. If something is all hate or if there are no comments at all... it is time to start asking questions. This world is so full of sarcasm, that even if everyone was being themselves... none would be able to recognize it.
BazingaofSuburbia Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Saw some of the comments and it's sad people seem to care more about whether Billie is punk or not than him getting better. For all they know he could've died and they would've cared more about a label than someone's life, don't mean to sound over dramatic but that's what I got from them and that bugged me more than anything, the lack of compassion :/

Jaded Nimrod Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 GDA's comment section already irritates me enough, I can't be doing with letting myself get annoyed about others as well I couldn't agree more. I responded to a couple of idiots here on the GDA news, but then I just had to remove myself from the situation because I was just getting more pissed off; I can't even imagine what it's like on non-fan sites. Some people just have to make themselves feel good by tearing others down. Pointless, stupid and irritating.
stories and songs Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 That Gina chick is trying to make Adrienne sound like a fucking Kardashian. So funny. Makes me sad, though, because from my perspective Adrienne has always come off as very sweet and unassuming. People.com has a very supportive comment section for Billie, actually. In fact, I've come across a handful of supportive, kind comments sections for articles about his interview, which has been very nice to see.

I share the same opinion as musso_kn. I also haven´t seen any photos like that. It only surprised me, how it was written in a comment somewhere else and surely it seemed it was a bad thing to do. And because I haven´t seen that photo and I couldn´t make my own assumptions I brought it here. Where else shall I discuss a GD problem whatever trivial than here. That´s all. The issue seems quite solved for me now, so thanks.

It's the GDA comment section....people will grab any opportunity to criticize and judge Billie's wife and family there and it's horrible to see that from supposed Green Day fans.

I am overemotional, obsessive, childish fan, and I´m really not ashamed. I only hope that the best way to control it a trifle is talk about it. And I may be satisfied. I got what I wanted, an answer. But I wouldn´t have even known that I would get actually more than one...almost picked a fight and backed away. I just don´t get why there has to be any negative feeling at all, when somebody certainly at the wrong time in the wrong place put a question that is bothering their mind and need somebody to talk about. I hope it sounds like thank you

I´m such an asshole, I get so easily overwhelmed, sorry I just rather do something that´s not emotions based.

Sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you for asking about the comment, I wasn't, I was only talking about people who would use something like that to criticize Billie's family but I didn't make that clear enough. There was nothing wrong with your question and I don't think anyone thinks there was
DannyDirnt Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Those little shits are probably Bieber and 1D fans anyway

And it's not your fault the discussion got a little heated; I think everyone's just concerned about Green Day and Billie Joe's health.
Akshat Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 As I stated before, almost everyone is trolled these days.Be it Coldplay,Linkin Park, Nickelback(ahem) or even Blink!Their fans too think that their band is the most hated.Since the trend of 'like for comment' started, people try to say shit to get more and more likes to their comments.Go to any picture uploaded by Vh1 of any band, you will see filthy comments in the comment secion, half the people have no fucking idea what they are talking about. Here are a few catch words for other bands: 1)Nickelback:Puke,Sound of hell, No variety, Dum etc 2)Linkin Park:Studio Generated, sucks live, nothing innovative etc 3)Coldplay: Gay, faggoty, boring, makes me sleepy, too pop(after mylo xyloto)..(I can go on and on with this one ) 4)Blink-182:Sold out, sucks, sucks live etc 5)Maroon 5- should be called adam levine not maroon 5, fucking pop not funk, sold out shit, chicks oriented etc 6)Foo Fighters-famous because of nirvana, using kurt kobain's fame, stupid etc. So you see, it's the same for everyone.
Ryan Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Pardon my choice language, but this poster is a fucking cunt. These comments were not in the "back from hell" article but in the one about Larry Livermore's first encounter with BJA: "Green Day Fans need to truly be reminded of which Armstrong is in the band and has the talent......." "I am shaking with anger at The Yoko Ono of Green Day relentless campaign for attention and fame.....please go away....." Is this person talking about Adrianne? And if so, how the fuck can she be saying that Adrianne is trying to take ANYTHING away from the band?

Just don't pay them any attention, they're posting stuff like that either because they are jealous or they want to get a reaction. Either way I couldn't care less what they have to say.

It's just that she made a post to make those two separate comments and it's not the first time I've heard shit like that. I just always wonder what personal vendettas some people have.
