I used to hate negative comments about my favorite artists/actor(ess). But now I think they're mostly funny because a lot of them are so irrational.

But really though Green day gets so much hate! I think they're the most hated band next to to Nickleback and I really don't understand.

That is the only reason. Musically, they're stuck between a rock and a hard place: 'punk'/alternative integrity and pop sensibilities. It works sonically, but it raises a lot of issues as to what 'punk' or alternative rock really stands for.

I think they came from the punk scene (don't always have to play punk music to be apart of the punk lifestyles...) that plays rock be it pop punk or alternative rock or whatever the case they make good music fuck the title

To be honest, I have a love hate relationship with comment sections. Hate because of the dickish individuals who love to waste their energy bithching childishly about the band as well as the kids who talk 'lyk dis' and defend them with the most superficial reasons. Love because sometimes there are wonderful people, who write passionately about their long standing (or even not so long standing) fandom and defend Green Day quite rationally.

I read the comments too, and as Gina seemed really active, I was asking myself "was it true"? I mean the part with Adrienne taking a photo of Billie with a drip attached to his hand. I was wondering (if it was true) why would she do it. It is certainly not an appropriate comparison, but why some people take photos of their dead pets in grave? Was it for arousing sympathy for him, for reminding him of himself... I quite don´t understand, what´s the lead to do such photos. My boyfriend had a concussion 2 years ago and he was really in a bad state for a few days and I would´ve never considered taking photos of him. So any reasonable suggestions?

This is what happens when you give people the ability to voice their opinions to the world, free of consequence. It's not wrong to give someone that forum; what's wrong is that the individual commenting doesn't take time to do some actual thinking before they spout off about a celebrity they hate.

I haven't read any of it, and don't plan to, but I can take a wild guess at what 80% of it says.

So it's true? Fair enough, I'm just quite a private individual, so I don't see the appeal of letting the whole know all the little details and stages of your health problems etc, whether you're famous or not. Each to their own, I guess

It wasn't "every little detail". He'd been ill but was almost recovered, so she posted a photo of him feeling better where he happened to have a drip in his arm. No one criticized the fact that she posted the photo at the time, there was nothing wrong with it.

I'm finding it very tiresome to see every past photo and video and occurrence being dragged up and analyzed, and worse Billie's family being criticized and judged, just because Billie's been in rehab. I find comments fitting that description on here and GDA much more annoying than any random silly Green Day haters' comments.
