Wow, Mike is an incredible guy,

this interview just proves it even more. I feel like he and Billie are like brothers,

good or bad, they'll always be there for eachother.

It really moves me how strong their bond is.

I don't even know how to react to all the things I just read  that was beautiful, Mike is a beautiful person (inside...and out), their friendship is beautiful. I'm really happy that their friendship is as honest and deep as their music, because "The one thing you get with this band is reality"

and
oh please, Green Day are not the network....

Mike is such a great person, he's so supportive and caring. Everyone should have a friend like him.

I just read this on the Rolling Stone website. It's so touching! They are such good friends and it makes me so happy how much they love and support each other, no matter what!

Mike is awesome, so much respect for him!

Also "my boy"...aww

I can't stop thinking about the fact that Mike called Billie "My boy". He's so awesome!

Why is mike so badass?, also I wish there was some more detail on new music but hey that's just me

Also he said they did the network!!!! It's the moment(s) of truth!!! Mind blown

"There is so much stuff we have done, in between records, that hasn't even come out. I look at it and go, 'What kind of pace is that?' Anybody would crack under half of that."

What's that you said, Mike? Another trilogy you say? A "three-peat repeat"? Why, yes, of course!

Guess who's excited. Me!

I think the only downside of Billie being back is that we're most likely gonna not hear from Mike as much anymore. He did a fantastic job as the temporary band spokesman though, and I'd love if he continued doing it to some degree.

This friendship :')

I wish I have someone like that in my life. This was a great interview. Can't wait to see them get back on road and flood us with tour updates!

He coped up with the situation really well, hats off to Mr. Dirnt.

I fully agree. We got to kind of know a little more about Mike and get to know him better these last months. It's a shame this is over now.

or maybe it's not over, maybe he or Tre will be more involved in promotion stuff so that Billie will be less stressed.

Good point! I hope this happens! :) I love seeing Mike and Tré being more involved. I like it when all three participate instead of Billie doing so many things alone. I actually think that Mike's quote "You're doing it alone, and you're not letting us in." from this interview could be about promotion too.

I don't think he was referring to Billie-the-Green-Day-frontman, he was just talking about his friend who thought that could handle all the things he was going through without the help of anyone at the point that he even scared and pissed his friends off.
And yes, I'd like to see more from Mike and Tre, there have been too many times when they hold the microphone without saying anything.

What a great interview!

"My thing is, good, bad or ugly, I gotta support my boy. I'm gonna back him up, and then I'm going to take it the next step further with him. And we're gonna do it offstage, too." - This last quote is so wonderful. Mike Dirnt is such a great friend!

Love them!
