"Good, bad, or ugly, I gotta support my boy."

Be right back, bawling my eyes out.

I can't say enough about Mike during these last few months. He has been awesome with handling interviews and what not while the band was on hiatus. He's been protective of Billie's privacy, not really letting anyone in on what was going on. He's a great guy. I feel like I never truly appreciated that before this whole ordeal. I have so much respect and love for him. He seems like a phenomenal friend. The love you have for a friend you've had since you were very young is different from any other friendship you have. Its special. They seem like they have a really great relationship.

He didn't really say anything specific about how Billie is currently in the interview, even when asked. That's a little weird, but at the same time, I suppose he's just trying to be respectful and not analyze Billie's current behind his back in an interview.

It seems as though even though Billie has been struggling with addiction for a long time, that things really worsened significantly during this recent press tour. As Mike said, his behavior wasn't like him. I'm glad that both Billie and Mike have said that. That person we saw at iHeart - that wasn't him. He's not that guy.

I can't wait for the inevitable Tre interview!

It's interesting how much stuff fell on Mike's shoulders during all of this. he was the one doing the press announcements, showed up at some events, a few interviews, all while dealing with something so incredibly personal to him while much of the world watched. My respect for Mike has always been very high, but it's gone up even more. Also, having him call Billie "my boy" made me all warm and fuzzy.

I don't Tre will, personally. I think he'll continue being the same goofy fun-loving person.

What the fuck Mike? Trying to take credit for The Network and their awesome music? You're just jealous because Green Day sucks

Yes... as sweet as the thing with feeding fucking birds when Mike and Billie are growing old... so sweet... Mike is really loyal, a true friend. They are real(ly) soul-and-heart-brothers.

My thoughts exactly.

"Because we were working so hard, since [2004's] American Idiot. We haven't stopped moving forward: the [2003] Network record, Foxboro Hot Tubs, the [American Idiot] musical, the live records, 21st Century Breakdown."

Did he just finally confirm that? (Even though we knew)

Made me laugh... yes...oooops... :D

Well it's about time Mike admitted that they've been stealing the Network's performance royalties for years.

In all seriousness, this interview caught me in a vulnerable moment--I couldn't help but tear up. Mike has been so strong throughout this ordeal, and it obviously hasn't been easy for him. If only every person struggling with substance abuse had a friend and supporter like the Dirnt.

That was the most touching part, so tender, so loving, so warm. He´s a caring mother...

I'd honestly really love to hear a serious Tre interview. It'd be interesting to get his perspective.

Anyway, Mike's the fuckin' man, we all knew that already
