Andres tweeted about things Mike said to Billie... is Mike directly quoted/interviewed in this article, or are these things Billie said Mike said to him?

Billie said Mike told him that.

I think Lazy Bones is just a coincidental meaning to Billie's situation considering Lazy Bones was written before all this...

But people are saying that Billie says that this song talks a little about it

I hope I could buy it somewhere, even if I live in italy. I MUST need it.

It's no wonder Billie said Restless Heart Syndrome is a song he hates simply beacuse of the way he felt when he wrote it.....

It also doesn't help that it's not that great of a song.

Billie says straight up that song was autobiographical. As well as Hitchin A Ride and Little Boy Named Train.

Wasn't Little boy named train about a guy in Joey's school?

Lies

Actually I am suprised people are suprised (about the drug part) Billie's lyrics are almost always autobiographical...he said so in numerous interviews hell even his "characters" (Gloria etc) were representations of himself (again he said so). I guess people sometimes only hear what they want to hear.

Can you tell me how long is the interview? thanks

Billie also talks about Amy and why he wrote it. The interviewer asks him "were you sober when you wrote it"

he said yes. But "medicated"

PM me the scan! please

Considering no one who's asked for a PM has got one, I don't rate your chances.

I always wondered about Hitchin a Ride and (considering I don't like the song that much) was curious if this, or any other such songs, would become "difficult" to perform for him, or if maybe he would want to avoid singing them because of the associations. It'd be a shame not to hear Lazy Bones, but it could go the way of RHS simply because of the darkness.

I wouldn't mind if part of his rehab means dropping Hitchin a Ride from the setlist though :)

The title was, but he's talking about himself. Kind of like how Basket Case is about him and some girl, and how LOTAG is about Adrienne but really about Billie.

I think it's about time we realize our heroes are not perfect. The beautiful thing is that our hero is a musician who has a way with words and can describe his worst demons in poetic lyrics.

shit... im listening to restless heart syndrome and lazy bones while reading all the things people are posting on here ^^ no wonder im getting all weepy now

THIS. And also that he fights the battle. He is strong

Makes me wonder about Wow! that's loud...... :shifty:

Yeah, I think he said it was based on him. But he says this

"That song is so me. It's about being lost. When I was a kid, I'd always wander off and not really know where I was at. Or I'll lose myself in thought"

You just activated my trap card

It's not really surprising logically to me about the prescription meds, but it's one of those things where we look up to them so much, it's hard to think of them as human or being able to do wrong. That is part of why this whole thing unsettles me.

On the songs being autobiographical, I would say that a lot of them are, even most. But there are some songs like Stray Heart or especially Brat where I don't see them coming from Billie, rather him writing a song in character.

Or he just found words that sound good together...I don't get why everyone assumes every song has a meaning....

Andres posted a better explanation.

it was about that, but also about himself

My assumption that all Green Day songs made sense or had meaning were shattered with the release of the lyrics of Oh Love.

This is one the most happiest days since Billie went to rehab, we are 14 days away from the first show from the new tour and an intervie about Billie's rehab
