Cath Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 got this off a tumblr post.. I think it's from the interview, "No drinking at all. He said he’s gonna have a talk with the other guys to see about what can be done when they’re out on tour so it wouldn’t be so easy for him to fall off the wagon. He said Vegas was the last drink he’ll ever have because he knows just how low it can get. He said he can’t just have a drink like some people. He said it always starts as one, then taking so many pills everything is foggy, then the night ends with him blacking out." Spoil it please. gosh. Someone can tell me how long the interview is? Are there a lot of pictures?
kerplunkerr Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Nonsense we are discussing possible subjects of the interview. I hope they finally talk at length about Leopold, Billie's pet lion and inspiration for "Wild One". LMFAO!! PET LION? No drinking at all. He said he's gonna have a talk with the other guys to see about what can be done when they're out on tour so it wouldn't be so easy for him to fall off the wagon. He said Vegas was the last drink he'll ever have because he knows just how low it can get. He said he can't just have a drink like some people. He said it always starts as one, then taking so many pills everything is foggy, then the night ends with him blacking out. Well, it is a HUGE decision...Im SO SO SO proud of him :') I guess this thing has only made him stronger ♥
Guest Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 LMFAO!! PET LION? Yes, he got too large, and Billie decided it'd be kinder to release him into the wild. He missed him so much, he wrote the song "Wild One" 4 days later.
She is Amanda Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I just hope he can commit to this.... This was really hard on me and a lot of the other fans... To be honest I'm not even close to as big as a fan I was last September Then again, quoting Bill Maher, "Not a man who struggles with commitment."
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I'm not sending any scans to anyone. I'm trying to work with Rolling Stone to sell the issue, the last thing I want is to be the one who posts the scans before they're out. That said, I think another member here has gotten theirs. It would be a shame if they posted the scans.......................................... A shame indeed ...thanks for all the spoilers Andres...sounds like a tough read.
Gwen Stacy Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Yes, he got too large, and Billie decided it'd be kinder to release him into the wild. He missed him so much, he wrote the song "Wild One" 4 days later. [citation needed]
yenom2003 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I wouldn't mind getting some article scans PMed to me *nudge nudge wink wink* I wouldn't mind either
Heather. Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Then again, quoting Bill Maher, "Not a man who struggles with commitment." That's the most inspiring thing said yet on this thread If Billie can apply his dedication to his music and his family to his dedication his health, he will be mooooooore than fine, he'll be on top of the world!
kerplunkerr Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Yes, he got too large, and Billie decided it'd be kinder to release him into the wild. He missed him so much, he wrote the song "Wild One" 4 days later. oh that lion that shows up on Quatro! ? btw where did you read that?
She is Amanda Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 So were there pills involved? I have to say the pill thing is really hurting me... Pot and alcohol are their own thing, but pills are so... I don't even know how to explain it. I guess I could say that I could never imagine him popping pills. He's always been so open about the drugs he does. We all knew about the pot, and GSB being about coming off meth. It's like he was keeping the pills thing a secret

Vanilla Shake Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Would pill addiction also cause withdrawal symptoms? I would assume that too... Yes, very much so. It's pretty much what the magazine states Billie's on the road back from; HELL.
djrossstar Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Voices in my head / Telling me that I am lost / Pills and alcohol / Are making me a lost cause ...

It's like he was keeping the pills thing a secret Well it's no secret that he suffered from anxiety and panic attacks all through his life. Sounds to me like he grew too dependent on his meds and started mixing them with booze. And then it just spiraled.
brianbags Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 So...who's that person who has the scans?
Heather. Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 So were there pills involved? I have to say the pill thing is really hurting me... Pot and alcohol are their own thing, but pills are so... He did not keep pills a secret in the last ten years any more than he kept meth a secret in the 90s. "I've been wasted, pills and alcohol" - See the Light "My pocket full of pills" - Kill the DJ "On a steady diet of soda pop and ritalin" - Jesus of Suburbia All of Restless Heart Syndrome is about prescription addiction. And more. I'm not trying to rub this in, I'm just clarifying that Billie made no effort to hide this any more than he hid the subject of Geek Stink Breath.
Gwen Stacy Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Off topic: source source rebuttal On Topic: I promised myself I would wait until the magazine got to me to read anything... and then immediately caved to spoilered text. Heavy stuff, I'm left wondering how this is going to affect the music he makes from here on out.
MrsBillieJoe95 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 "Prescription drug abuse" Wat? Didn't see that coming... We're just all glad you're better Billie Dude, ikr? When I read that, I just kinda sat here for a minute and mulled over that sentence. I can imagine the alcohol problem (that honestly wouldn't have been too hard to figure out from any of his actions in the past), but pills is about the last thing I personally would have guessed. Maybe i'm not too terribly observant though after reading Heather.'s post, it does make more sense and seems a bit more realistic though.
spark in the night Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 yep I will be acquiring this on Friday.

I guess that's just a good thing to keep in mind... Every single lyric somehow goes back to himself... I guess I was in denial with some of these
JIGD13 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Does Rolling Stone have internatonal shipping because I want that magazine
Heather. Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 So uh, does this article discuss other interesting topics besides rehab and addiction? Not that I don't want to read that, but there is a huge part of me that wants to actually hear about the making of this trilogy in terms of what these songs mean, particularly the Dos and Tre songs that we got no interviews for... I guess that's what Cuatro is for, not this. Still, would be nice to hear Billie discuss these songs, perhaps in the context of his addiction if that's more apropos to the article.
Harriet Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Oh man I have to go to bed now. Hopefully the scans will show up somewhere by the time I wake up. Hope we don't have to wait till Friday.
brianbags Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Remember when they cancelled that show and mike and Tre came on and said he had a stomach virus? Do we think that had something to do with this now?
