It's all caffeine dude. You can get addicted to that shit just as easy as anything else.

Very unlikely that you'd blackout from it though.

Blacking out brings very bad paranoia. Caffeine wont do that, Im not saying it doesn't have other side affects though

=/ it kinda bothers me... I thought it was completely his decision to go to rehab... I wonder if he would've gone if his manager hadn't told him to

Spoiler from the article. Don't read if you plan on reading the full thing and don't want my summary of a relevant part.

No. He said he didn't think he needed to. It was other people telling him he was getting out of control that convinced him. He didn't realize how bad it was until he had to detox and had bad withdrawals. He even had a nurse who would visit at his home to make sure he wouldn't have seizures and stuff while detoxing. He said it was a miserable couple weeks.

Only one more new picture

I'd bet another one or two would surface somehow later... doesn't that usually happen? Mayhaps?

The difference with energy drinks and other things is that they can serve as sufficient alternatives for BJ. I'd rather see him taking a 5 Hour Energy than shots of some hard drink.

Another spoiler from the article:

He said he'll drink Root Beer. He likes that.

Thanks for that. That's a satisfying answer on Billie's end...

The point is that he *was* convinced it was necessary to do, even if it wasn't his idea originally. He just didn't realize it had gotten so bad, but then he did, and that's all that matters.

Heartbreaking to picture the detox but I'm not surprised.

Can't wait to get the issue. RS has always been kind to Green Day and have pretty much given them a cover every album.

I also love how the first name moniker "Billie Joe" is acceptable just as much as Madonna, Cher, Beyonce...wait....is he the first MALE celeb that is known just by his first name?

Maybe not blackouts and all that, but it can cause severe stomach and liver issues later in life, plus nerve damage.

I'd much prefer to see him on nothing at all. Switching addictions won't help anyone in the long term.

Drake, Eminem, Cee Lo ... I'm sure if you put Beiber's face on the cover, you could write "JUSTIN" next to it. So no :P

Though personally I'm kind of surprised it doesn't say "Green Day frontman" anywhere on the cover. Either RS assumes Billie is more recognizable than he actually is, or I'm not aware of how famous he is
