MIKE sings on SD&V What are the chances of an interview during the week? I'd say pretty good, they're not going to go to this festival and not do press. But the press might be entirely about the films screening, which is why we hope/would think they'd do some kind of bigger official mainstream interview prior to this event.

Nmd Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 600 is NOT for ONE show it's for EVERY event/show/conferences/panel for the ENTIRE 3 weeks of SXSW also gives em an entry to private parties as well trust me 600 is NOTHING if you are planning to go to more than 3 events at it I totally agree that $600 is not bad at all for all of the events and shows, but I can't justify spending that much since I wasn't interested in going until Green Day got involved. I just looked at all the lineups, and sure there a bunch of cool things and acts I'd like to check out, but I'd just be going for GD. Plus the $600 (movie pass) only gets you into the movies. If you want to see the concert, that's another $700 (music pass). And the platinum pass that would get you into both is over a grand. I got one day tickets for the Documentaires. Now to get a ticket for this... How much was that? $600 is absurd. How many IC members are gonna enter this that live in Texas? I bet we all have a good shot of getting it. I live in TX, and I'm definitely going for the IC!But all things aside, whether I get to go or not, I couldn't be happier that they're back!!! And at such a kickass event Awesome they'll be debuting the films!

It really sucks it's an official SXSW show. I wonder if it's purposeful, though. Maybe they hope more media members will be at the show to positively report on GD's comeback? Not a bad idea to drum up buzz, just a bummer that there won't be an opportunity for a lot of die-hards to go.

Because I know when they were recording the trilogy and had their secret shows and the what not during the process of it, it was really tight and everything. Either way, whether we get any form or quality of pics/videos/audio posts or not, I'm just honestly happy that they'll be back on that stage and that Billie is well enough to be performing again.

I'm sure friends of die-hard fans already know what's going in Green Day Land. That's what I'm saying, it makes sense on a buzz level, it was just unfortunate for die-hards. But announcing those Pomona, Tempe and El Paso shows will give a couple die-hards a chance to see them, so I guess now this show isn't going to be as much of a big comeback anyway

But you never know Yeah but SXSW people are very strict on recording they don't even allow bands to record their sets Fans tho always find ways to record on their phones or small cameras I'll offer some tips and warning for filming at official SXSW show cases Be in the mosh pit area Be extra careful not to be caught they won't just throw you out they will have you arrested and charged so be on the look out That last part is only for official SXSW shows not every concert is a official SXSW alot of shows are unofficial shows How to tell between official and unofficial is simple if the concert is listed in the SXSW event guide and accepts the SXSW badge/wristband official if it's not listed and most unofficial shows doesn't accept the badges/wristbands some do but alot of em don't When uploading to youtube don't put SXSW it'll get flagged within an hour just put the date of the show in Green Day's case put 05-15-13 or something like that And have fun enjoy yourself
