There is plenty of footage with Billie Joe in rehearsals for St Jimmy. How he wanted it to be secret and was snuck in to rehearse. NO press. How instense it was. It shows him opening night as St Jimmy and the crowd goes crazy. He looked and sounded great on stage.

We are working with Cinetic Media (Supersize Me, Exit Through the Gift Shop) to bring #BroadwayIdiot to you - hopefully by late Fall.

:yay:

That's soooo far but I guess the best we could hope for... if it happens!

Does that mean a DVD release or just more showings of it? I want to see this so bad!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT OMFG

THIS! :woot:

I hope they release it to fans. It's cool they're showing in a lot in theaters (think of Billie on a giant screen *dies* )! But it kind of sucks for those who aren't able to go, which is most fans.

That'll be cool...it'll probably be something I would get for my GD collection :P

Broadway Idiot Broadway Idiot is screening at the Lincoln Center in New York on July 29th as part of 'Sound + Vision'. Hope you can join us there. Tickets go on sale next Thursday. It's a small venue, so mark your calendars!

BROADWAY IDIOT (2013) 80m

Director: Doug Hamilton

Country: USA

Doug Hamilton’s film started out as a behind-the-scenes look at the idiots that thought a punk rock record could translate to a Broadway musical—Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and Spring Awakening director Michael Mayer. But the film becomes much more than that; it chronicles Billie Joe’s growing engagement with the creative process of this new, for him, art form. Hamilton shows the journey including a peek at pre-teen Billie Joe, live concert footage and his Broadway debut.

Director Doug Hamilton and producer Ira Pittelman in person for Q&A!
