Hermione Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hungry Hungry Models is hilarious, great 80s new wave parody. Since Tre loves Duran Duran I always think of it as being a tribute to them. And why just listen to it when you could watch the uh, amazing, video too?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKUT59h3vMw
Jax Teller Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 What about Dark Side of Night? I think is one of the best by FHT.

alexandra_1039 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hey perverse can we be friends !!!! \o/ (I always replay this moment... ) (whoops me too), billie--cough- i mean the rev brought this 'perverse-ness' upon himself.
JOE THE X-KID Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 What about Dark Side of Night? I think is one of the best by FHT. Brilliant song! Reminds me of the Vietnam war though for some reason
The Grouch is Tracy Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I don't really consider AI punk, even though it's probably their most "punk" album in terms of content (Insomniac aside obviously). It's borderline stadium rock. Is stadium punk a thing? Sure: Stadium + Punk = STUNK ......sorry......couldn't help myself.....
Anaïs. Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Sure: Stadium + Punk = STUNK ......sorry......couldn't help myself..... I prefer Pstadium.
Michele Sgambelluri Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 One day I happened to compare a few songs Uno, Dos, and Tré with other songs by Green Day, but those old albums. Here are the similarities that I found with these songs: Carpe Diem = Suffocate Let Yourself Go = Maria Fell For You = Pulling Teeth, Worry Rock Troublemaker = Warning See You Tonight = Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) Wild One = Walking Alone, Rotting Wow! That's Loud = Hitchin'a Ride X-Kid = The intro is similar to the song Why Do You Want Him. A Little Boy Named Train = Know Your Enemy Walk Away = Hold On Dirty Rotten Bastards = There is a part of the song similar to the song Jaded and also is similar to Platypus (I Hate You). 99 Revolutions = The final part of the song is similar to the final part of the song Chump (when this starts the song in Longview). The Forgotten = Last Night On Earth Guys, what do you think? I would like to have your opinion.

That said, HOW DARE YOU COMPARE "LAST NIGHT ON EARTH" TO SUCH A LOUSY PIECE OF SHIT?!

Hermione Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Guys, what do you think? I would like to have your opinion. Please do this : You should probably transfer this post to the "Similar sounding songs" thread. This thread is specifically for posting Green Day opinions that you believe to be particularly unpopular, other Green Day opinions/observations can fit in other threads (we can't have everything in here ). So anyone who wants to continue this conversation should do so in that thread.
Spike Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I'd say the post in question was pretty damn unpopular

It's borderline stadium rock. Is stadium punk a thing? I try explaining this to my Green Day hating friends all the time and they just don't get it. Conversation goes something like this. Them: Green Day's not punk. They made American Idiot and became un-punk. Me: Actually, AI, although less punk-sounding, is their first really punk album in terms of content. Them: -stops listening and walks away- Yeah, it doesn't matter, they suck.
JOE THE X-KID Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 The most interesting drum pattern Tre has played is on Makeout party
Guest Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 The most interesting drum pattern Tre has played is on Makeout party You've gotta be joking right now.
Duhhan1023 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Am I the only who don't really care about Dookie Anniversary? I love the album, just not understanding why there is such an amount of hype on it.
The Disappearing Boy Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 You've gotta be joking right now. You do know what thread this is, right?
Guest Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 You do know what thread this is, right? Yeah but... damn.
JOE THE X-KID Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 You've gotta be joking right now. No. I can't even be arsed to explain why.
The Disappearing Boy Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Yeah but... damn. What do you think is more interesting then?
Spike Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Everyone knows Tre's best drum performance is Give Me Novacaine.
Guest Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 What do you think is more interesting then? Off the top of my head, GMN, Emenius Sleepus, In The End, Armatage Shanks, Reject, Haushinka, and Peacemaker. There's probably a ton more I'm forgetting but those will do for right now.
