Spike Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Y'all need the Foot In Mouth version. Nope, still prefer AAF.
The Disappearing Boy Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I listened to Know Your Enemy today. How unpopular is THAT?!

The Disappearing Boy Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I was playing guitar along with 21st century breakdown. and decided I'd do the whole thing. god playing kye was boring, but I stuck at it. Anyway, I started off by tuning down 1/2 a step for Breakdown and Lobotomy, I then tuned down another half for RHS, and in the process of tuning back up, I broke my little e string - I don't have a spare one. So anyway I played on from kye onwards, got bored halfway through lotag and stopped. But at least it was a fun waste of an hour, though

But at least it was a fun waste of an hour, though I didn't even know a top e string was required to play Breakdown all the way through I've done it myself before but to get around the tuning issue I just tuned double flat to start with, and put a capo on 1 for flat tuned songs and 2 for standard.

Yeah I probably should have done that. Breakdown is such a pain to play through! Oh well. Time to order a ton of high e strings on line methinks!

Spike Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Good Riddance is so much better with bagpipes.
ddany Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 On the contrary, this is the best version. been looking for this video, for months, thank you. Anyway if we're talking about playing songs. I love listening WICA, but I hate to play it, it's so booring on guitar (for me)
Jollyroger118 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 For some reason I can't use the quote button but to go back to the music videos, I love Jesus of Suburbia's video, I remember when it premiered on MTV, I think, and it was so badass. And I like pretty much all their videos apart from obvious ones like Know Your Enemy and Oh Love. That video fucking sucks and if it weren't for the hot girls there would just be nothing going for it. And 21st Century had a great video. But I think my favorite is the Whatsername video, that girl looks like what I'd imagine her to look like and it's simple and dreamy and fits the song IMO
Spike Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 whatsername video??This supposedly happened but I doubt it's legit. http://youtu.be/Y58gmP4mhUM I just realised I got the 10000th post of this thread. Fuck yes, this is my thread! My work here is done, GDC no longer needs me.
Guest Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Pretty sure there's no official Whatsername video.
Spike Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Pretty sure there's no official Whatsername video. I'd never have thought Sam Bayer would make such a shit video. Then I saw WMUWSE.
Anaïs. Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I really wish that one of these days Green Day would work with Mark Romaneck and make a completely disturbing and surreal "Closer"-type music video. The problem is it would be paired with something like "Oh Love" and become unintentionally hilarious.
Hermione Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Yeah that's not an official video but the footage was shot by Sam Bayer for a planned Whatsername video that never happened. It somehow leaked and turned up on GDC, just the footage with no audio, and some bright spark decided to add the music to it and put it on youtube labelled as an official video. Chances are only a small amount of that footage would've been used in a full video so can't really judge it, although as it's Sam Bayer and the same Whatsername from the god awful JOS video I'm betting I wouldn't have liked it.

Yeah, I'm glad it didn't happen. Even if there was a great video made, I still wouldn't have liked it. To me it's one of those songs that should be associated with personal mental images rather than being set to one guy's vision. Maybe that's just me though.
munns6691 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 The Whatsername video is and always will be a source of great shame for me as a Green Day fan. Its not real..
Todd Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Wow. Whoever made this thread really lucked out. I don't think I've been in here since like, page 11. All you guys do is piss me off is there really that much to complain about Green Day though?

Todd Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Absolutely. They're a terrible excuse for a band. *armrest. They're definitely a terrible excuse for an armrest. Oh my god. I was sitting on my couch today, and I went to put my arm up on Green Day, and they were completely lumpy, and weren't even the same leather as the couch. Like, wtf? I pay $800 for this couch and it doesnmt even come with a good Green Day? Next week, i'm putting this Green Day out by the curb amd buying a new couch.

The Disappearing Boy Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Unpopular Green Day opinion? They are very poor armrests.
