The Disappearing Boy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 am i the only one who don't care about what's going on with Norah and Billie? i mean it just doesn't appeal to me and i'm not even interested to read or watch the videos about it. i was wondering and i was alone or not in this situation I'm not that fussed. I quite like the first song they released, but I've not bothered to listen to the others. I might watch if any live videos surface.

I'm not particulary excited like (etc..) about it. I enjoyed the album and Norah's really stunning but that's all
Spike Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Storytellers? Didn't they just play the AI album there? Or did they play there another time? They did AI in full plus Longview, but only AI was broadcast.
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 They did AI in full plus Longview, but only AI was broadcast. Well that's just plain stupid really, isn't it?Speaking of Longview, is this not one of Green Day's most embarrassing moments on TV? (apart from iHeart)
Hermione Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Well that's just plain stupid really, isn't it? Speaking of Longview, is this not one of Green Day's most embarrassing moments on TV? (apart from iHeart) Most amazing, epic, fabulous, hilarious, and badass moments you mean?
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Most amazing, epic, fabulous, hilarious, and badass moments you mean? Hmmmm I think I stand by my original judgement!
Hermione Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Hmmmm I think I stand by my original judgement! If Snoop Dogg announcing "Green Day up in this biatch" as the band proceed to play a song about wanking on MTV on new year's eve dressed in all white, with Snoop being so enthralled by the performance that he wants to try and join in with the guitar playing and add a hip hop style call and response to the song while Fat Joe pours champagne for the crowd and Billie laughs his arse off, isn't epic, then I don't know what is.

I agree. I don't care for Snoop Dogg at all and Green Day feat. Snoop Dogg sounds terrible in theory, but I just love love love this performance. It brings a smile to my face every time.
Hermione Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I agree. I don't care for Snoop Dogg at all and Green Day feat. Snoop Dogg sounds terrible in theory, but I just love love love this performance. It brings a smile to my face every time. I love the surrealness of it more than anything. Who would've thought when they wrote that song about jerking off in some dingy flat as teenagers that they'd be performing it at an "iced out" new year's eve party hosted by Snoop Dogg broadcast across the world on TV one day? That and how the band, Snoop and everyone there clearly enjoyed it so much
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 It's just so cringeworthy. Especially those white suits. And those 'yeah yeah's were even more annoying than Billie's hey-hos!
Hermione Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 It's just so cringeworthy. Especially those white suits. And those 'yeah yeah's were even more annoying than Billie's hey-hos! That's the thing though, I think it's really great that both the band and Snoop didn't give a shit whether it was cringy/silly/cheesy/uncool and just all joined in and had fun on stage, fancy dress and all. Look at their smiling faces! It's sweet
Oxymore Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 It's just so cringeworthy. Especially those white suits. And those 'yeah yeah's were even more annoying than Billie's hey-hos! I LOVE BJ's hey hos.
Guest Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I LOVE BJ's hey hos. Now there's an unpopular opinion.
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Yeah, no-one likes Billie hey hos do they?!
Hermione Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Oh please , people say they don't like them but they make the live shows really fun. They're a key part of Billie's connecting with and commanding the crowd and I've never seen anyone do those things as well as him so I couldn't knock his technique! When I'm in the crowd at a show I enjoy every one of them.
Oxymore Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Green Day lives without Hey hos are not Green Day lives.
fromdecimateddreams Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I agree that they hey-ho's are annoying if I'm listening to a live recording, but when you're actually at the concert they're really great.
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Yeah if you're there they must be pretty cool, but watching them on video or whatever, I just want them to get on with the song!
WhiteTim Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Yeah if you're there they must be pretty cool, but watching them on video or whatever, I just want them to get on with the song! Noone making you watch the videos...
Asa. Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Unpopular opinions? Dos is a fine outstanding album - said no one ever. Dos is a fine outstanding album.
The Disappearing Boy Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Noone making you watch the videos... That is true.
Slydren Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I've always loved "Oh Love" Same here. Very good. song. Best from Uno, I'd say. - God Bless
