Unpopular Green Day Opinions

I loved it, was singing along , and had a nice long eye contact verse or so with Billie. You could see that he was very into the song and very emotionally tied to it. I actually like X-Kid more since experiencing it live. Maybe having at least one or two diehard fans near the front singing gave him something to focus on instead of the majority of the crowd...

I hope so! Maybe our group at our show, who was LOVING it, helped him :D It's just one of those few songs that didn't translate as well live as one would expect, IMO. Whether it was the performance itself or the reception of said performance(s, since it seemed common on the live streams I watched), I'm not sure.

I understand, it does have a very understated feel to it, that seems to conflict a bit with how it is presented as a rockin' number.

Not really, everyone has a favourite.

My favorite is Jeff Matika. We've spoken on twitter guiz he knows I exist!!!!1!11!!

Zomg when's the wedding?!?!?!

I saw Ronnie Blake wandering around London once. Best friends 4 lyf <3

Did you holler, "RRRRRRRRONNIE BLAKE!" when you saw him?

okay enough spamming :P

I've really grown to love "Angel Blue," and I am ready to be eviscerated over it.

No, but only because it could have just been some random guy in a suit, how would we ever know? :P

*eviscerates* It's a terrible song because it's on the trilogy lol

But seriously. It's not bad, it's one of the least worst on the album.

I'm gonna take it a step further and say Nightlife is the best song on Dos. And I'm not trolling.

I love Nightlife because of the rapping. Billie's lyrics are poor and the vocal filter is awful. But Lady Cobra's got a nice voice even if her technical rapping ability is limited. It's just got a cool groove, the basslines is boring as hell to play but it's an enjoyable listen. It gets slated because it's Green Day, simple as that. I'm glad they did something so different, it's the only saving grace of Dos, and the only song from it I listen to.

I may or may not listen to Amy when I'm several drinks deep and weepy :ninja:

Well that's not too bad either, it must be the second best on the album.

I think Lady Cobra's questionable lyrics actually help Nightlife. Lines like "hope there's more in your pants than a bus route" make it easier to take as tongue in cheek, just a bit of fun, which I think is the whole point of it. It's different when most Green Day songs have dodgy lyrics because it just comes across as lazy given how good we know Billie can be.

Seriously these two are the most talented people Green Day has ever been associated with. They are ridiculously good. I'm not even kidding.

I hope Ceadog doesn't see this. He'll be mad.

Neither of them can touch Mike Pelino, though.

Lulz, Dos is so bad Nightlife is pretty close to being the best song on that album.

I never know where to put Mike Pelino on my list of favourite Green Day members, surely Kurt Lohmiller gives him a run for his money?

Ashley, baby eyes and Makeout party, the songs that are viewed as filler, are some of my favourites from Dos. I also think Amy is a brilliant closer. You go on this emotional roller coaster of lust, anger, fun and then with Amy, it's like you take a seat, slow down and examine your life after the wreckage of what you've been through ( I don't mean wreckage as in the album is a wreckage haha)

Christian's Inferno? And I would love American Eulogy if not for the production making it sound like a Disney song.

Christian's Inferno is fucking badass

loljk it's not great

Makeout Party aside from the solo is the worst skng GD has ever done...

Ok maybe not that extreme but still worse than Nightlife

I know, I went through this phase of "That bitch," because I was convinced she did Billie. Especially after hearing "Nightlife." Then I had to take a big step back and re-examine my priorities in life

If doing Billie makes you hate her, you should also hate Billie. Cheating involves two people.

I like Makeout Party. It's sexy.

But bollocks to 80, right? :P

Seriously though, we have absolutely no evidence that it happened unless you want to put faith in a Cracked article, so...
