The Grouch is Tracy Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 An attractive, charismatic, talented rock star who writes music we love, and gets on stage covered in sweat in sexy clothes, commanding the crowd, thrusting his hips and teasing everyone, rocking out and acting like a total badass, and singing sweetly and passionately. Nope, no idea why anyone would want to have sex with him. And he has asked us all too.....
The Grouch is Tracy Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Billie is not funny, at all Bitchy alert: ....either are you!.......
DookieLukie Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I reckon 1:09 to 1:18 hits the nail on the head. When did this air? Seems recent.
Spike Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 When did this air? Seems recent. 5th March this year, I think.
ZSebs Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Bitchy alert: ....either are you!....... Isn't this the unpopular opinions forum? It is my opinion
Guest Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Gotta agree with ZSebs on this one, Billie isn't funny. He doesn't have a particularly clownish nature, like Tré, or a quick dry wit, like Mike. FUCK SAKE Green Day, do something interesting so don't have to discuss how humourous you are.
Jollyroger118 Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I think Billie's funny...like "I'm destiny's child" or when he was making fun of Nickelback. In fact just look up funny Green Day moments or something like that on youtube. I get a chuckle out of it. But the funniest thing I've seen from the band is in BIAB when they interview Tre and he's wearing like a forest ranger outfit in front of a table of all different donuts...I mean wtf?
musso_kn Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Has Billie ever tried to be funny? I don't think I've even properly noticed.
Iva Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I still don't understand people who wants to have sex with BJ It's a matter of the way one sees things. I got into him at the age when I didn't even have this tiny remaining bit of primary drive in me, so I never saw him that way. I was always like "awww, he's a teddybear!". But I understand that many people do. 5th March this year, I think. That's a grand date.
Firecracker Lell Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Has Billie ever tried to be funny? I don't think I've even properly noticed. He is funny, usually. I laugh even more when he " tries " to be funny in interviews.
Oxymore Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 He is funny, usually. I laugh even more when he " tries " to be funny in interviews. Oh this spoiler His face is already funny, seeing him showing his gums makes me laugh more than when he says ya know. But I never noticed that he tried to be funny in any way... examples ?
munns6691 Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I'm ready for another 21st Century Breakdown that era and album was underrated
Guest Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I'm ready for another 21st Century Breakdown that era and album was underrated Won't happen.
belinda jane Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I'm ready for another 21st Century Breakdown that era and album was underrated If it was underrated then, don't you think it's going to be just as underrated, if not more, now?
munns6691 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 If it was underrated then, don't you think it's going to be just as underrated, if not more, now? Nope cause people compared it to American Idiot. It doesn't even have to be a rock opera though. Just the lyrics, sound of the instruments, vocals and energy on 21st CB is what I want.
Z J Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 It won't happen because Green Day has never gone in the same direction more than once. I wouldn't be shocked to see a rock-opera style album but 21cb the album isn't happening again. As for the "era".....I think those years held their best live performances, especially from Billie. I would love for those acoustic encores to come back, with more than just Good Riddance. Whatever they do, it's likely that nobody will have predicted it.
Guest Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Calling it now. Nimrodesque album, about 15 tracks in length, with one big song.
Firecracker Lell Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Calling it now. Nimrodesque album, about 15 tracks in length, with one big song. Off topic, but you have no idea how much similar your ava is to your reactions... What a surprising thing to wake up to. And aw, ur member title! And ur location.. Oh fuck whatever...
Guest Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I'm excited to see what he does (if anything) with the material he's written during rehab. I'm hoping for a dark, introspective album with a stripped down sound. I'm hoping they don't do another fuckoff long song though, simply whenever they do a big song everyone goes "ZOMG NEXT JOS!" so yeah I hope he stays away from that. I also wish he'd do more voice training or whatever he did during Broadway because that helped his live performances SO much. Yeah, that's why I'm thinking Nimrodesque, because if you look closely at the lyrics of that album, they're probably the most introspective and self loathing he's ever written, just like he'd write whilst going through rehab. I doubt they'll attempt anything too long. They won't be trying to do anything epic, or at least I hope not. They just need a solid album under their belts to get them back into the groove. I'm actually hoping that he's spending the these few months off at least attempting to improve his voice. It's been truly awful recently.
munns6691 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I'd take Nimrod like thats my 2nd favorite album. What I think I meant by another 21st is all the effort and attention put into each detail and the record sounding loud sharp and full of energy

The Disappearing Boy Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I hope they actually show off their considerable musical talent on the next album. Mike in particular, he could so much more than what he does.
