CocaColaX Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Don't know if this is the right place for this post, but I have noticed on the forum, that a number of fans seem to dislike 21 Guns (which I can't understand at all, I think its a great song), anyway, my point is that I noticed recently whilst on GD official youtube that the video for 21 Guns has almost 79.4 million views, which appears to be way more than any other video, which I think is fantastic [the last great videos made were 21 Guns and 21st Century Breakdown, afterall].

belinda jane Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 this seems to be an unpopular opinion at the moment: i would actually love to hear a re-recorded/mastered version of Dookie.
Guest Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 this seems to be an unpopular opinion at the moment: i would actually love to hear a re-recorded/mastered version of Dookie. So they can ruin the guitar tone, auto-tune the vocals, have Billie harmonize with himself instead of Mike, and add tambourine to EVERY FUCKING SONG? No thanks. What would even be the plus sides to a re-recorded/mastered album?

Guest Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I want to hear a remastered Dookie as well because even if it turns out to be shit, it's sure to be 110% better than all the albums they've put out in the last 4 years combined. Excuse you. i never said it would sound great, all i said was i'd love to hear it. maybe 'love' was the wrong word to use. i'd be really intrigued to hear how it'd sound. I think I pretty much summed up how it would sound
belinda jane Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I think I pretty much summed up how it would sound maybe. but it'd still be interesting. and i'll stand by that!
Guest Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Is there a problem? Even 21stCB is better than Dookie Trilogified
munns6691 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Whats everyone favorite song that wasn't released as a single.
Cath Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Dookie is perfect that way i wouldn't like any rerecording or remastered albums. maybe an acoustic but nothing else. Whats everyone favorite song that wasn't released as a single. scattered, american eulogy, at the librairy, in the end and the list goes on
MaraGreenDay Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Dookie is perfect that way i wouldn't like any rerecording or remastered albums. maybe an acoustic but nothing else. Agreed with everything, and yes, Dookie acoustic would be perfect!!!
Iva Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Whats everyone favorite song that wasn't released as a single. Wrong thread, perhaps?
munns6691 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Wrong thread, perhaps? Not if the song like they is unpopular ey?
SmoothedOut Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Whats everyone favorite song that wasn't released as a single. UPTIGHT!
tdlyon Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Dookie is actually not even close to the top of the list of my favorite Green Day albums. In fact, I think I'd go as far as to say I don't start LOVING instead of just really liking the albums until Nimrod. Starting there I can just listen to the albums all the way through without skipping anything, but the first four have a lot I skip.
belinda jane Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Billie doesnt use auto tune... is that an unpopular opinion and you're saying he needs to.. orrrr?
WhiteTim Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 is that an unpopular opinion and you're saying he needs to.. orrrr? Sorry forgot to quote ceadog post
Sarcasm Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Billie doesnt use auto tune...pitch correction is popular though. I don't mind it, I just want it to sound good.
WhiteTim Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 pitch correction is popular though. I don't mind it, I just want it to sound good. Billie uses filters but it's not autotune And I agree I dont mind it at all
The Grouch is Tracy Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Re-recording Dookie? I know this is from the wrong album, but the lyrics from "Redundant" seem to be playing in my head when I think about this..... "We're living in a repetition, content in the same old schtick again.......like a production line going over and over and over......"
naliuj Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 well i'm not a huge fan of dookie. i like basket and longview (a little) but other than that i just dont like the album as a whole. and i'm not sure is this is unpoplular but i think kerplunk is their second best album (second to insomniac)
Anaïs. Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 "Redundant" should not have been a single. It's not a bad song (nothing on Nimrod is bad), but "Scattered" or "Haushinka" would've been a much better choice.
