munns6691 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I really don't understand how people think that this thread is Green Day bashing. 90% of what I read here is people expressing opinions about the band with at least some reason (be it sound or not) for the opinion. Most opinions are in fact positive ones about songs/albums that seem to be unpopular. So to label this thread as a place where Green Day gets nitpicked and bashed is misinformed, in my opinion This guy knows what is up ^
Slave To The Network Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I will fight on until I make an relevant intelligent post *a relevant, intelligent. - not "an" relevant intelligent Anyway, I'm glad I missed all that drama here. Of course, I probably shouldn't have just read it because now I'm pissed off. Here's an unpopular opinion: 21CB is one of my favorite Green Day albums.
Hermione Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 So people here are saying that not once has Billie Joe looked at anything fans or critics say. Ok then. He probably has (although he has said he prefers to avoid it), but he's not going to change the music he makes because of it. If Green Day started writing songs to cater to what fans want instead of just writing what they're inspired to write I'd say it'd be time for them to call it a day!
kilawatcongo Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I don't particularly love "Lazy Bones" . I was initially really stoked when I heard a small snippet of the song, but was kind of under whelmed when I heard the whole thing. Same with "Wild One" I like the songs, just was kind of disappointed I guess when I heard them in full, because I was so excited to hear them.

Same actually, everyone seemed to make out Lazy Bones was the best song Green Day has done, i mean its good but nothing special
Guest Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 *a relevant, intelligent. - not "an" relevant Excuse me? Stop being a cunt. A spelling error means nothing. As Céadagh isn't here right now, maybe dyslexia or such problems may contribute to using 'an' instead of 'a'. Yeah, this is off topic but that was the most cuntish thing I've seen in this thread. Fed up of people saying shit like this when maybe, just fucking maybe, the person who made the error has a mental issue to causes such problems.

Stop calling people "cunts" because they corrected a spelling error. Grammar Nazi'ing is arrogant and unpleasant, yeah, but calling someone a "cunt" over it is far more cunt-ish. Personal attacks = suspension. Just sayin'.
Florence Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I like "See the Light" Excuse me? Stop being a cunt. A spelling error means nothing. She didn't do anything. She just pointed out a grammatical mistake.
Ana. Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 What a mess of a thread See the light is the perfect ending. It's kinda melancholic, but also hopeful for the future. Like everything is going to be alright
Guest Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Yeah clearly it was a fucking personal attack. Jfc. Cunt is just a word like any other word but when people point shit out like that in a manner like that, it's stupid as you never know if the person has dyslexia or other learning disabilities.
Cath Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 omfg this thread. can you just people keep that drama into PM or i don't know. it's so annoying to see people complaining on each pages. so to contribute at the main goal of this thread, i really like See The Light too, and especially the first verse that got great lyrics.

If you can't be civil then you should go off and calm down for awhile. There is absolutely no reason to be so rude. I corrected C-dog only because he was annoying me with his arrogant cockiness. It's okay to correct a spelling or grammar error once in awhile. It's not an attack and certainly not a jab at anyone who has any kind of mental issue. I would never do that. Also, you might want to take a leaf out of my book and stick with milder things like simply correcting a person who annoys you rather than resorting to crude and vile name calling or all out attacking them.

True, a few people had correct me with grammar and it's ok And on topic, i really love Kill The Dj video, it's one of my favorites, i don't know if that's an unpopular opinion

Move on. "See the Light" has a very U2 feel to it or at least that's what I thought.
Guest Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 This is why I don't come to this part of the forum. Also, to stay on topic, GD are awesome but have some right stinkers. See; 21stCBD, the album.
MaraGreenDay Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Woah i missed something here !! Yeah me too, i think it's better if we stay out of here for now
kilawatcongo Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Yeah clearly it was a fucking personal attack. Jfc. Cunt is just a word like any other word but when people point shit out like that in a manner like that, it's stupid as you never know if the person has dyslexia or other learning disabilities. i dunno. i kind of love the word cunt.
Batgirl Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 nobody said there's anything wrong with being butthurt over your favorite band.. you just are. Some people like to be butthurt others dont why is cunt any worse than bitch? like seriously i've seen far worse personal attacks here and no one got suspended so. Also unpopular opinion: I never skip Last Ride In.. especially if I'm driving.. I love hearing the who beach vibe while driving around Cali i dunno. i kind of love the word cunt. we can be friends ok
Hermione Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 This thread has run for nearly 200 pages with people posting unpopular/negative opinions and others agreeing or disagreeing with them no problem. Problems have only started since some people have started getting offended about the fact that anyone would have any negative opinions, and others have started bitching about anyone disagreeing with their negative opinions. People are allowed to post negative opinions of the band here. And people are allowed to disagree with them. Can we please go back to doing so civilly without making personal attacks as we were before? And all off topic discussion ends now. Post about unpopular Green Day opinions or don't post.
bioshockerxx Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Do you guys think See The Light should've been a single or should've it been played live more?
bioshockerxx Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I would KILL to hear that song live. omg. OMG FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE THAT UNDERSTANDS
bioshockerxx Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Unpopular Opinions, bringing people together since 2013. but yeah, I would cry real tears of absolute joy if it happened. I'd loveeeeeeeeee to hear Tre's drum solo live omg
