Four. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I could have told you that without ever meeting him. You and Maddy should hang out. what you said in the first sentence wait does she like it or hate it
Four. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 yeah man the 21cb era was the best aw especially live!
musso_kn Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 i miss the 21stCB era. (please don't kill me) I totally get it. There was so much buzz associated with that time. The gigs were great too.
Hermione Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I think Mike should be the only one doing backing vocals, on old songs and some of the new songs. That's the way it used to be, why not keep it that way? Because their music and their show has changed. They need more singing power to perform the newer more complex/more powerful songs. Also apparently when they added Jeff it was specifically because they wanted someone who could sing the very high parts that many 21st CB songs have well, which he can. It's all just so that their music sounds full and at it's best when they perform it.
Jack [DF] Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I would rather meet Mike, then Tre, then Billie, to be honest. I'd love to meet all three of them, of course, if I had the chance. Dude. Same.
Four. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 what mike should sing more! i hate that he only has two lines in sex, drugs and violence! he should have a full verse, even a full song!
musso_kn Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 my idols are great and the loveliest people ever in existence!!!!!!! :') no but seriously who made that up? The saying? No idea. Just heard it at an awards ceremony once.
Guest Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 even a full song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXRpD2HdgA0
Cob Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The 21st Century Breakdown period was great. But, I absolutely loath the artwork from that time period. I couldn't take it seriously. I've loved the artwork and "theme" that went along with each album but 21st's I just didn't get. To me it was too youth politic, too teenage-girl-emo, too Occupy (in hindsight).

Cob Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 i love you mate too much ORANGE honestly Yes. And too much stencil.
DannyDirnt Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 True. I met Tom Delonge and he was cocky as fuck and douchy. Don't compare Tom DeLonge's personality with Mike's for example. Even from what we can see from them.
Maddy. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 it was okay idk i was more focused on the music though so
Four. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Don't compare Tom DeLonge's personality with Mike's for example. Even from what we can see from them. how could someone do that though mike is the sweetest guy to ever be and tom is.. well. tom.
Cob Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 i think this is actually the most unpopular opinion i've ever seen posted omg what I agree. I would love to hear Cigarettes and Valentines one day (and we probably will/already have since Mike has said the band will be "cleaning the attic" soon) but the success of American Idiot reinvigorated this band. There's no replacing it.
Florence Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Yes. And too much stencil. HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LOVE STENCIL ART? Sorry but WHAT????
Maddy. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 american idiot is better than anything they have ever released
Four. Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 you can't wish for american idiot to disappear and not feel my wrath upon u
Guest Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 american idiot is better than anything they have ever released False. The Sweet Children EP is unbeatable.
Kayfabe Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 too much ORANGE honestly no such thing as too much of the greatest colour on the planet
Cob Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LOVE STENCIL ART? Sorry but WHAT???? I like stencil art (actually I do quite a bit myself) but I felt that the album's artwork had just a little too much (note that some of my favorite album artwork ever is the stencil on the cover of Shenanigans).
Kayfabe Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 False. The Sweet Children EP is unbeatable. does that consist of the last 4 songs on kerplunk?
Florence Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I like stencil art (actually I do quite a bit myself) but I felt that the album's artwork had just a little too much (note that some of my favorite album artwork ever is the stencil on the cover of Shenanigans). But.... it had an ongoing theme in the artwork! I missed something like that in the trilogy artwork a bit except: "X"s everywhere!
