Akshat Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 With those particular songs I don't think they were written at the same time as album songs and left off albums. Espionage was written for an Austin Powers film (it's used as background music and on the soundtrack). And Ha Ha You're Dead wasn't a b-side either, it was a brand new song for Shenanigans. I think making it the only new song on a b-sides compilation is pretty much as good as putting it on an album. Totally understood. But those songs don't deserve to be in a b-side compilation. They are epic stuff.Grammy quality.
Maddy. Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 haha you're dead and espionage or literally anything off shenanigans isnt even in the general vicinity of grammy quality
Eva Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 haha you're dead and espionage or literally anything off shenanigans isnt even in the general vicinity of grammy quality Yeah. I think it's good but I could never see anything on Shenanigans winning a Grammy or any other major musical award.
Maddy. Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 american idiot deserves its grammys and i think 21st century breakdown might've won one if they'd only focused more on promoting the album instead of the fuckin musical. nothing green day has made before or since has been remotely considerable for a grammy lets be real.
BlackBaboon Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Green day won a Grammy for dookie and 21st century breakdown
Maddy. Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Green day won a Grammy for dookie and 21st century breakdown wow i had no idea they actually won anything for 21st century breakdown. must have gone right over me head.
Hermione Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 wow i had no idea they actually won anything for 21st century breakdown. must have gone right over me head. Won Best Rock Album! But even at the Grammy ceremony where they collected the award they performed an AI Musical version of a song off it, the buggers.
Maddy. Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Won Best Rock Album! Hermione Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 oh wow cant believe i missed that omg wait was that when they performed 21 guns with the cast? because that was proper awful Yeah it was that. Dunno if it was awful but musicals aren't to my taste haha.
Akshat Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 haha you're dead and espionage or literally anything off shenanigans isnt even in the general vicinity of grammy quality Espionage got nominated for a Grammy.Your argument is invalid.
Snows Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 - I don't like Kerplunk. - I think American Idiot and everything after is much better than their older stuff, even Dookie. I enjoy more the new stuff since AI. I like the old stuff, but I really enjoy some songs a lot. A lot of songs, btw.
brutal kid Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Insomniac sucks except songs like walking contradiction, armatage shanks. Jinx and haushink are pretty bad too. from 39 strangeland is so damn unoriginal and horrible, i love 1000 hours but the lyrics are just repetetive. from the trilogy i dont like sex drugs and violence What does "Welcome to paradise" under my avatar means?

Different post count levels have different member titles. The more posts you have, you get a different title. Once you hit 3,000 you can choose your own, like mine. I agree about Sex, Drugs & Violence, by the way. Awful.
Shahd Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I love Sex, Drugs & Violence I believe this is the unpopular opinion, a lot of people hate it for some reason!
Guest Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I think it's because he goes on about english, maths & science and it just sounds plain stupid
brutal kid Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I think it's because he goes on about english, maths & science and it just sounds plain stupid i know right english math and science is just damn stupid, I like little boy named train cause its a cute song but the lyrics are stupid too
Snows Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I enjoy more the new stuff since AI. I like the old stuff, but I really enjoy some songs a lot. A lot of songs, btw. omg how awful english I have. hahahaha "I enjoy more the new stuff since AI (except for Dookie). Even if I like the old stuff, I just enjoy some songs really. Well, a lot of songs, but not all of them. " That's better??
Guest Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Espionage got nominated for a Grammy.Your argument is invalid. And didn't win... which I think was her point.

Platypus409 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Doo Da Da > Stuck With Me Do Da Da is Stuck With Me and Stuck With Me is Do Da Da. Oh the confusion!!!
Eva Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I like Sex, Drugs, and Violence because I can relate to the lyrics. A lot, actually. It might be one of my favorite trilogy songs.
OneSongInFrench Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I get pissed knowing that Stay The Night and 8th Ave Serenade are the same thing (intro wise). Just speed up Stay The Night...
Guest Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I get pissed knowing that Stay The Night and 8th Ave Serenade are the same thing (intro wise). Just speed up Stay The Night... Lazy Bones and 99 Revs have the same drum intro. That's what happens when you write a shit tonne of songs in a short period of time, bits of them sound the same.
