Samantha Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 How about BOBD 86'd for 86? (Seriously, though, 86 is woefully underrated.) omg yes anything off of Insomniac yes yes yes
angry_robot Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 So, are they really changing this tour name to "99 Revolutions Tour?" The Pittsburgh concert venue just changed its Facebook event image (or maybe I just noticed it) to say "99 Revolutions Tour." It's kinda weird imo, 99 Revolutions is the only one (correct me if I'm wrong) political song from the entire trilogy and they name a tour after it.
Speechless & Redundant Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 It's kinda weird imo, 99 Revolutions is the only one (correct me if I'm wrong) political song from the entire trilogy and they name a tour after it. "The Forgotten Tour" could've been cool xD
localinsomniac Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 "The Forgotten Tour" could've been cool xD And quasi-appropriate!Pearl Jam style! They never repeat sets and play whatever the hell they want. That's awesome and also adds surprise to the fans This would be awesome. I've seen bands like moe. in the past. But not only do they play a different set every night, they'll play alternate versions of the same song on consecutive nights, changing up its structure on the fly. I guess that'd be why they're considered a "jam" band.
The Grohl Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 They should just call it the Trilogy tour...it may not be the snazziest name, but it's better than the Uno, Dos, Tre tour...that's just a mouthful.
AndrewW91 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I can't wait to hear a live version of X-Kid. Omg. They better play it...
Mar Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 "The Forgotten Tour" could've been cool xD Bitterly ironic and accurate, since, even though I'm going ... I'm still not positive why they even bothered with the few dates they're doing
tdlyon Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I actually really like The 99 Revolutions Tour. It doesn't necessarily have to be an occupy reference in this context.

I don't like it. I mean, whatever, I'm finally going to a concert, I actually don't give that much of a fuck, but I just feel like it's a poor choice and doesn't encompass any sort of vibe that these albums were supposed to give off. It also isn't that important (or good) of a song to name a whole tour after (even if that tour is only, like, seven dates...).
-Billiejoezee- Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 The 99 Revolutions tour sounds really cool to me. To bad I'm not seeing them lol.
Tim_13 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 If it's a 3 hour show with old and new, here is the set-list i expect: 1. Welcome To Paradise 2. Murder City 3. Know Your Enemy 4. Nuclear Family 5. Stay The Night 6. Let Yourself Go 7. Kill The DJ 8. It's Fuck Time 9. Stop When The Red Lights Flash 10. Stray Heart 11. 8th Avenue Serenade 12. X-Kid 13. Oh Love 14. Longview 15. Hitchin' A Ride 16. Brain Stew 17. St. Jimmy 18. Basket Case 19. She 20. 21 Guns 21. Holiday 22. 21st Century Breakdown 23. East Jesus Nowhere 24. Boulevard Of Broken Dreams 25. Jesus Of Suburbia ----------------------------ACOUSTIC ENCORE-------------------- 29. Amy 30. Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) I don't think that they will play 21st century breakdown
FatVince Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I hope they'll play Makeout Party & Wow! That's Loud.
momoluvGD Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I would really, really like to hear East Jesus Nowhere, Poprocks and Coke, Christie Road, 2000 Light Years Away Jesus of Suburbia, Waiting and Let Yourself Go and Sweet Children I'd really like to hear some more old stuff. hum..what am I missing...
beejeezee Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 YES to getting rid of King For A Day/Shout. The shtick has kind of gotten old. And I would just die if they did Blood, Sex and Booze. But what about the lovely KFAD shenanigans!

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Oh God I hope not Yeah, that was my reaction too when I read it... unfortunately I've seen this in several "official" venue places...
MaraGreenDay Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Well i don`t care what songs are going to be in the songlist, i just hope that this time Mexico get in the tour, i`ve been waiting for 8 years!!!!
Eva Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 I would really, really like to hear East Jesus Nowhere, Poprocks and Coke, Christie Road, 2000 Light Years Away Jesus of Suburbia, Waiting and Let Yourself Go and Sweet Children I'd really like to hear some more old stuff. hum..what am I missing... When I went to their show in '09, the crowd went the craziest when they played older songs. I like hearing the new stuff live but they should definitely spice the tour up a bit. They have about two decades worth of material, I think they should show it off. I like 99 Revolutions decently, but I agree. It isn't that important in the overall trilogy and is actually (from what I've heard on here) disliked by a majority of the fans. The Trilogy Tour seems a better name than the 99 Revolutions Tour. Although, if they have another tour later on it makes a little sense because this wouldn't be the bulk of the dates. Who knows?Well i don`t care what songs are going to be in the songlist, i just hope that this time Mexico get in the tour, i`ve been waiting for 8 years!!!! Did they not go there for the 21st Century Breakdown tour? I know they were there for American Idiot. I just assumed they'd go there again...

Eva Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 No they didn`t come with that tour, and it was horrible Man, that sucks. Hopefully they'll do some more international dates this time. They released three new albums, they have to do something with it.

Cob Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Honestly, why would they play a bunch of old stuff when they just released 37 new songs? Expect a lot of new material with some classics or oldies sprinkled here and there. They likely won't start playing more varied sets until well into the second year of the tour.

I hope they pick the more upbeat pop-punk songs for the set list though. Does anyone here expect them to play The Forgotten live? Maybe when Billie does his little encore thing, I thought, but I'm not sure it would really fit in with a trilogy set list otherwise.
Mar Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 But what about the lovely KFAD shenanigans! I can kind of live without those too I'd rather have two songs I love played straightforward rather than spend 10+ minutes fucking around.
The Grohl Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 In a way the 99 Revolutions Tour would sort of fit because it's related to music...like revolutions of music and what not, but in a way it also sounds dumb
