Cath Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 i've got a little bit of hope in them since they played Nuclear Family. happy about it the Emirates will be huge i'm expecting something new.
legendary Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Now that it's setlist, I made my favorite: 1. 99 Revolutions 2. Nuclear Family 3. Know Your Enemy 4. American Idiot 5. St. Jimmy 6. Holiday 7. Boulevard of Broken Dreams 8. Welcome To Paradise 9. Let Yourself Go 10. Stay The Night 11. Basket Case 12. She 13. Longview 14. When I Come Around 15. Coming Clean 16. Going To Pasalaqua 17. King For a Day/Shout 18. Minority 19. Lazy Bones 20. Jesus Of Suburbia Encore: 21. Dirty Rotten Bastards 22. X-Kid 23. Brutal Love Encore 2 (Acoustic): 24. Wake Me Up When September Ends 25. Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) What do you think? May also include: Oh Love, SWTRLF, Letterbomb, The Forgotten, Drama Queen etc...
UNICORN VOMIT Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I don't think the setlists have actually been that bad, and for the more 'casual' GD fans (who probably make up the majority of the crowds not us hardcore GDCers) I think they've been fine. Could have swapped out SWTRLF (seems odd for a certain song when its not even really that liked in comparison to others) for DRB though and at least played Nuclear Family. Other trilogy songs I'm happy with though. This is true - we know the trilogy songs backwards & we make up the minority at concerts - the majority would hardly know them. Here in Australia I have heard oh love & kill the dj a few times but the majority of airtime is old stuff - if rehab didn't happen & promotion happened things may have been different - but it did & we can't change it - I am just happy billie is healthy - green day are playing live & since it will be 4 years in December since they were here - they can play whatever they dam well want. Cuatro doesn't count - that was before rehab. It's too personal - maybe years into the future - perhaps when he feels comfortable - it's why wake me up when September ends isn't being played at present.

Wake Me Up was played yesterday thought but i see what you mean with Lazy Bones
UNICORN VOMIT Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Really that's great - I didn't see it in the setlist - I would take that as a plus on how he is feeling - will go check the setlist.I can't see it on the setlist - can you?

I can't see it on the setlist - can you? on the official setlist it's written they didn't but i thought they did because on the thread related to the show people said they played it. sorry
UNICORN VOMIT Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 That's ok - it's a great song. I will go further & say I think they will break from touring in September. I do like how they are taking breaks & not exhausting themselves.
Jon Benjamin Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 It was replaced by x-kid the North American club shows in march had it where x-kid ended up
Asa. Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I'm glad they've kept Letterbomb! Quite possibly my favorite song ever, it's just mind blowing live!
DannyDirnt Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I'm sad they are totally done with ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! but for a few songs. I'm disappointed that they released three new albums, were all happy about it and then the albums flopped and they don't even play the freaking albums in their tour. I know I'm late to this, but I had to get this out. This is, to me, letting fans down and not the rehab thing.
scottrowan200 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 He can't play lazy bones but. Other songs that reference drug use. And too personal. They play wmuwse. That must be sooo personal
Cruise Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 When they get to Australia I am hoping we get something like this: 1. 99 Revolutions 2. Makeout Party 3. Know Your Enemy 4. American Idiot 5. St. Jimmy 6. Holiday 7. Letterbomb 8. Welcome To Paradise 9. Let Yourself Go 10. Stay The Night 11. Basket Case 12. Little Boy Named Train 13. Longview 14. Nuclear Family 15. Wow Thats Loud 16. Troublemaker 17. King For a Day/Shout 18. Lady Cobra 19. Dirty Rotten Bastards 20. Angel Blue 21. Jesus Of Suburbia Encore: 22. Stop When The Red Lights Flash 23. Minority 24. Good Riddance I am a little tired of BOBD it gets too much airtime, and I don't think its all that good live.

Duhhan1023 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Thank god they played nuclear family yesterday ! The set list is making more sense now
pucky Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I don't know if this has already been said, but despite the never-ending discussions about the setlists, what I find more discouraging is how the crowds behave in this tour shows. Maybe this has happened in all the tours and I am starting to notice it now, or maybe Green Day is starting to lose impact. Whatever may be the reason, I find that people in their shows are so fucking awful. If you see the videos of shows like Berkeley or Italy, it is painful to see that only the first 3 or 4 rows behave like they are in a rock concert. I haven't found many videos with a good perspective of the audience, but this one is very clear about my point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc_uvdhUy3o I know that usually the first rows dance, sing and freak out more than the rest, but the amount of people that seem to watch the show motionless or even IGNORING the stage and the band, kind of worries me. Again, I perfectly understand that each person enjoys music in his way, and probably many of those people are actually enjoying the show in their way, but I am unable to understand why so many people behave that way.
MaraGreenDay Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Actually that happens in all the shows ^, if you see BIAB, the people from behind or above are very calm, in a lot of shows that i've seen on DVD, videos etc, people are like that, i don't know why, even when i went to see Motley Crue and Marylin Manson, the people were so lame, i was behind and i was one of the few that really jump and sing, maybe it's like you said, that's how people like to enjoyed the shows, but i really don't like that, so yes, it's not just Green Day

In that video, even the last and usually more calm rows jump and dance like they should. You can see, for example, in the video of St Jimmy, how the crowd is moving so much that they even seem like a sea of people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMO0hciNs0A Maybe it is not fair to compare their actual situation (with all that has happened) with the AI period, which is by far their most succesful one, but I don't know, I feel kind of sad seeing the difference.
Cath Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 the video you post about the recent show is kind of sad i agree. i don't get why people pay for a ticket when they don't even seem to have fun.
scottrowan200 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 When and if am lucky to get to front of shows I jump around sing loud and freak out. But if I end up at the back I don't. Because nt everyone jumps around and you feel silly when you do or when you can heer yourself sing ( compared to the front where everyone is). So when am at the back I like to watch the show as a full. Listen to the sound. Watch the production and lights and the band on stage. Most shows like that I tend to remember more than ones where I was at the front and just remembers hands and heads bobbing around
UNICORN VOMIT Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Would be so awesome but I don't think many of those trilogy songs get played & If he doesn't do brutal love I will cry.
