Andre Bruxo Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Really hope they play more songs from the trilogy than they did at the comeback show
SophieJoanne Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Buzzing to hear X-Kid live, the hook is so addictive
stich Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I think they'll play bunch more new song at Austin (I think they should played Nuclear Family, Lady Cobra, Stray Heart, Carpe Diem and maybe Angel Blue since their play it last summer) and then worked out a real trilogy tou setlist fior the start at 28/03
The Grohl Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I think they're just feeling out which songs from the Trilogy work best in a live setting...so what they play from the new stuff might change from night to night.
OlicElfArmy Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 In the Tempe show they only played 4 trilogy songs (out of a 20 song setlist). On the 34-song setlist (what I believe they are picking and choosing from for each show) there were 7-8 trilogy songs total. A lot of old stuff, 4-5 AI songs, and a few 21cb. But mostly old and a few trilogy. For the trilogy tour it's not as many as I expected but I didn't feel like they were lacking or anything
LisaBJA Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I think they'll play bunch more new song at Austin (I think they should played Nuclear Family, Lady Cobra, Stray Heart, Carpe Diem and maybe Angel Blue since their play it last summer) and then worked out a real trilogy tou setlist fior the start at 28/03 Yeah, I also think that their real trilogy tour will have more songs from the trilogy and that their setlist will be longer (I hope )
The Grohl Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I'd be totally fine if they extended their set list
Sarahnade Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I've already learnt all of Lady Cobras parts just in case this happens Me too
GZUSofSuburbia Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I recreate the setlist with the format of these warmup show, more trilogy songs and longer show time: 01 99 Revolutions 02 Know Your Enemy 03 Murder City 04 Stay The Night 05 Stop When The Red Light Flash 06 Nuclear Family 07 Carpe Diem 08 Let Yoruself Go 09 Oh Love 10 Holiday 11 Letterbomb 12 Lazy Bones 13 Boulevard Of Broken Dreams 14 Burnout 15 Lady Cobra 16 2000 Light Years Awway 17 Paper Lanterns 18 Hitchin' A Ride 19 Welcome To Paradise 20 When I Come Around 21 Brain Stew 22 St. Jimmy 23 Stray Heart 24 X-Kid 25 Longview 26 Basket Case 27 She 28 King For A Day 29 Little Boy Named Train / Sex Drug & Violence (rotate) 30 Dirtv Rotten Barstard ENCORE 31 American Idiot 32 Jesus Of Suburbia 33 Minority ACOUSTIC ENCORE 33 random acoustic song 34 Wake Me Up When September Ends 35 Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) I actually really like this setlist idea haha except I think that instead of 33 being random acoustic song I think it would be awesome if everybody in the band came back on and they played Brutal Love <333 People can dream right?
AfterShock Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 So are we pretty sure arena show setlists will be longer?
The Grohl Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I want to hear Nightlife live! Same here. I want to hear Nightlife and Kill the DJ live!
JIGD13 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Same here. I want to hear Nightlife and Kill the DJ live! I have 3 versions of Kill the Dj live but Nightlife hasn't been played yet
stories and songs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I expect that these shows will make me cry a lot. Kill the DJ is a MUST live!!! I really hope it gets incorporated into the regular setlist. Since its a single I feel as though we have a pretty good chance of hearing it.
DannyDirnt Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I've been missing Kill the DJ in the last shows as well. I'm really hoping to hear it live!
Guest Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 If they don't play Kill The DJ or Fuck Time, I will be horribly disappointed. They are proper dancey songs they need to.
Jon Benjamin Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 This is the 99 revolutions tour and it's pretty short, they'll probably still do a trilogy tour so the trilogy tour will probably be more proper with trilogy songs
GZUSofSuburbia Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I'm not sure if anybody seconds this, but I think that Walk Away would be a really great arena song!
DannyDirnt Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 This is the 99 revolutions tour and it's pretty short, they'll probably still do a trilogy tour so the trilogy tour will probably be more proper with trilogy songs Oh my God, I hadn't thought of it this way! I hope you're right Plus the name ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! Tour was way better than 99 Revolutions tour.
Annie, get your gun Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I'm not sure if anybody seconds this, but I think that Walk Away would be a really great arena song! Me too!! To me sounds like a good song to play like they did with 21 Guns (when they made the public sing "1, 21 guns...") but now with "Walk away" ♪♫
Met Fan Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I don't wanna be too excited about more trilogy songs at the Austin show since they don't really have time to rehearse new songs.
LisaBJA Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I think that the setlist will change and I hope that they will play more songs, but the setlist from the other concerts were awesome, so when they won't play more songs, I will also be happy with their present setlist
The Grohl Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I highly doubt they're planning a second trilogy tour. This is the trilogy tour. The only "second" one we'll get is when they reschedule those canceled dates.
PanicAttack! Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 What are the odds that Green Day will play 21st Century Breakdown on this tour ? If they are gonna do it I think the intro will not be there I don't see them playing it. It's a good song, and it was a good opener to the tour along with Song of The Century, it was quite epic and quite iconic. But it was neither a huge hit or a fan favorite, and the band is probably dead tired of the song. What it did well was represent that era, album and tour. You could compare it to American Idiot that is still played, even though it was the opener on that tour. But that song became a timeless classic, compared to 21CB which is one of those songs that won't be forgotten by the fans, but was only relevant as an introduction to that Green Day era. I've noticed that most opening songs is just played on that one tour. I recreate the setlist with the format of these warmup show, more trilogy songs and longer show time: 01 99 Revolutions 02 Know Your Enemy 03 Murder City 04 Stay The Night 05 Stop When The Red Light Flash 06 Nuclear Family 07 Carpe Diem 08 Let Yoruself Go 09 Oh Love 10 Holiday 11 Letterbomb 12 Lazy Bones 13 Boulevard Of Broken Dreams 14 Burnout 15 Lady Cobra 16 2000 Light Years Awway 17 Paper Lanterns 18 Hitchin' A Ride 19 Welcome To Paradise 20 When I Come Around 21 Brain Stew 22 St. Jimmy 23 Stray Heart 24 X-Kid 25 Longview 26 Basket Case 27 She 28 King For A Day 29 Little Boy Named Train / Sex Drug & Violence (rotate) 30 Dirtv Rotten Barstard ENCORE 31 American Idiot 32 Jesus Of Suburbia 33 Minority ACOUSTIC ENCORE 33 random acoustic song 34 Wake Me Up When September Ends 35 Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) Isn't this like 4 hours?
DannyDirnt Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Isn't this like 4 hours? I think that setlist is more or less the duration for a 21st CB tour concert.
