HolyHandGrenade Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 My top 3... least likely to get played: - Nightlife - Sweet 16 - Drama Queen best crowd interaction: - Walk Away - Dirty Rotten Bastards - (tie) Let Yourself Go, Wow! That's Loud most played non-singles (excluding 99 Revs): - Dirty Rotten Bastards - Nuclear Family - Brutal Love
DannyDirnt Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 My top 3... least likely to get played: - Nightlife - Sweet 16 - Drama Queen You'll have to exclude Drama Queen from here. They played it in 21st Century Breakdown so it wouldn't make any sense that they didn't now.
LazyPhil Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Not sure if anybody's mentioned it yet or not but does anyone think we'll see a live version of Nightlife with Lady Cobra anytime during the tour? I don't know about Nightlife but I think it's very likely that they'll play Lady Cobra since they played it at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire
GuitarPunk94 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 do you think that the setlist they will have this sunday will stay the same for the whole tour? just with some songs randomly switched maybe
DannyDirnt Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I don't know about Nightlife but I think it's very likely that they'll play Lady Cobra since they played it at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire In their full shows, Lady Cobra was a regular I think. They also played it live at Shibuya, Japan.
LazyPhil Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 In their full shows, Lady Cobra was a regular I think. They also played it live at Shibuya, Japan. I went to the Paris show and they didn't play it ! That made me so sad
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 You'll have to exclude Drama Queen from here. They played it in 21st Century Breakdown so it wouldn't make any sense that they didn't now. Least likely doesn't mean they'll never play it, just that I think they will focus on other songs
Shredder2 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I'd love to see "Dirty Rotten Bastards" live. My life would then be complete. xD
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I'd love to see "Dirty Rotten Bastards" live. My life would then be complete. xD My life would be complete if they played Jesus of Suburbia, Dirty Rotten Bastards, and Homecoming in succession
GuitarPunk94 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 My life would be complete if they played Jesus of Suburbia, Dirty Rotten Bastards, and Homecoming in succession that would be like 1/5 of the whole concert only with 3 songs
nothing_wrong_with_me Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 My life will be complete when I'll see Billie healthy and happy at the concerts.
HolyHandGrenade Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 that would be like 1/5 of the whole concert only with 3 songs And they could throw in 21st Century Breakdown, and do a cover of A Quick One While He's Away for a grand total of 38 MINUTES for 5 SONGS and throw in the usual "hey-oh!"s and pulling someone on stage, you have 45 minutes, easily
The Grohl Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I just can't wait to go because not knowing what they're going to do and the anticipation is killing me.
tomdsjames Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 The last few tours they have opened with songs from their most recent album then gone into older songs so I can see the set starting with some Uno songs (I'm counting the trilogy as one album). Probably like Nuclear Family into Stay the Night. I personally think Let Yourself Go would be a fantastic way of opening a set. Really gets you pumped up and it's also one of the few songs from the trilogy most people will be able to sing along to. Could have 'See You Tonight' playing over the PA like they did with Song of the Century on their last tour and the full band come on for Fuck Time. Songs from the trilogy I think/hope will be regulars in the setlist: Oh Love, Stay the Night, Let Yourself Go, Kill The DJ, Fuck Time, Stray Heart (Jason did mention it was his favorite song from the trilogy to play), X-Kid, 99 Revolutions. Amy/Drama Queen in the acoustic encore assuming they still do that. Played at a few shows but not in all or most: Carpe Diem, Troublemaker, Lazy Bones, Lady Cobra, 8th Avenue Serenade, Dirty Rotten Bastards, possibly The Forgotten in the encore or towards the end of some main sets in the place where 21 Guns used to be. Personally I would want Lazy Bones and Dirty Rotten Bastards played at all shows. DRB would be a great song to open the encore with if they throw American Idiot towards the end of the main set. Older songs I reckon are staying in the set permanently: American Idiot, Holiday, Basket Case, Minority, Know Your Enemy, Welcome to Paradise, Good Riddance Played on most nights: When I Come Around, Hitchin A Ride, BOBD, She, WMUWSE, With the rest of the set being random. We'll find out soon enough Edit: Meant to include Nuclear Family in songs I think will be rotated regularly
Jake Bingham Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I can see them playing oh love, let yourself go, kill the dj, x-kid, nuclear family, carpie diem, dirty rotten bastards, 99 revolutions, fuck time, make out party and lady cobra from the trilogy tbh ... then I can see them playing American idiot, wake me up when spetember ends, time of your life, baske case, welcome to paradise I can really see this tour being a big big difference to their other tours for one I cant see them performing over 150 dates like they did with American idiot and 21st century breakdown cant wait to see them at the emirates in London
tomdsjames Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 My guess is Adrienne would not like this idea. I was at that Frustrators show. Troubadour last year. I am lucky enough to be going to the show tomorrow and will be at the closing show in April. I highly doubt those two setlists will be the same. I would imagine they change throughout. Of course, every show they have audibles (songs they decide to play or not play during the show) so it's different from show to show just based on that. I think the setlist is a sliding scale at the moment. I truly hope they mix it up every night but they don't really seem to have ever done that but who knows, there is a ton of material. I hope we just get a longer show. Not that the shows haven't already been longer than your average. Cannot wait till tomorrow. I'd be surprised if they don't open up with Nuclear Family. A sleeper idea is opening with Let Yourself Go. It would be a sweet upbeat song to get everyone going right off the bat. They usually don't open up with "let's move" type of songs but I think they should. I will be amazed if they don't open with a Trilogy song. I would absolutely love if they would have the balls to open with DRB. Of course, I am most curious to see what a sober Billie has in store. Fingers crossed. The AI tour opened with American Idiot and the smaller shows they've played recently have opened with Welcome to Paradise. I'd class those as 'lets move' type songs. I think Let Yourself Go would be an awesome way to open the set.
SamMacs Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Both Nuclear Family and Loss Of Control would be great openers, I think that they'll go with Nuclear Family most of the time. But I'd love if they opened with Brutal Love sometimes, I think that it has that feel, it's their best opening track to an album and I love when the first song builds up (like with 21CB). But I suppose that Brutal Love would be a bit too slow opener for a Green Day concert.
K!ngForADay Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Good news, when I went to Berlin last August for their ''(pre)tour'', they played King For a Day/Shout. Tre Mike and Billie all did their part to do the ''Shout'' role which was awesome, I believe that would become a regular! They've veen playing it for about 10 years now it has to be dropped..
Bastard of 1969 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Not sure if anybody's mentioned it yet or not but does anyone think we'll see a live version of Nightlife with Lady Cobra anytime during Huh i think they will replace The Forgotten with Good Riddance, and yea, i kinda like agree with you!
~ Walking Contradiction Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I just can't wait to know the setlist of the first show!
stich Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 They've veen playing it for about 10 years now it has to be dropped.. also the shout part would be boring; I stilll like it but having 15 mins of fooling around with the band have tons of other material would be bad; maybe the could play it sometimes without Shout I just can't wait to know the setlist of the first show! me too; I think this tour would be unpredictable in terms of setlist
