Mike of Suburbia Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I feel like See You Tonight as the Song of the Century (as it's been said) but then if Billie were to come out with everyone and get the crowd into doing the "yeah yeah yeahs" from Dirty Rotten Bastards and kicking it off with a bang
redline punk Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 99 revolutions tour? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWb4qXHgyg8 at 0:38
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 If i see any 1 minute signs i will tear that shit up....ughh in light of the situation its not funny
Eva Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 If i see any 1 minute signs i will tear that shit up....ughh in light of the situation its not funny I'm pretty sure by the time the person gets to holding the sign up, some other fan will have already smacked it out of their hand. Especially if they're on the floor.
InvaderPhantom Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I don't think Dirty Rotten Bastards should be the opener, that's like blowing your load way too early I also think it should be the closer of the main set. Man, that song is going to be crazy live.
The Grohl Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 There better not be signs....I'm gonna hurt someone if I can't see! (I'm not super tall FYI...this is a frequent issue for me)
Guest Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I know it's been said but if I manage to see them live & see a single sign referencing iHeart breakdown, I will be forced to take it out their hands & smack the shit outta them with it. Not cool. But other than that, I'm liking the idea of See You Tonight then Nuclear Family as the opener. 4 or 5 fast paced songs [including Nuclear Family], a couple slower ones, 5 fast/hard, then something like Amy for the close. Replacing Good Riddance as the close is gunna be hard to see for me, I love it as a close but Amy is such a beautiful song.
VisionsofGreenDay115 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 They said they would announce West Coast dates. Well, that is my expectation. An Arizona date any time thats NOT March 6th-10th. If that happens my life will be complete.
InvaderPhantom Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I want the acoustic encore to be: 1. Amy 2. Wake Me Up When September Ends (first half acoustic, second half full band) 3. Good Riddance I know that some people are sick of the last two songs, but I don't think they should ever ditch them
The Grohl Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I think "Amy" would be a great closing song.
InvaderPhantom Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Oh and I don't really care for The Forgotten, so I wouldn't really want to hear it... They already have enough slow songs in their setlist, assuming they won't ditch BOBD, 21 Guns, WMUWSM and Good Riddance (which I hope they don't ) But I have the feeling they will ditch 21 Guns because I don't think they even played it on the 2012 Summer tour.

Agreed. I mean I like the Forgotten, but I don't think I wanna hear it at the show. It's a bit too slow for a live setting I think.
stich Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I hope that they didn't ditch 21 Guns for me the should play (off 21CB) these: - Know Your Enemy - East Jesus Nowhere - 21 Guns - Viva La Gloira!/American Eulogy/The Static Age/Before The Lobotomy (rotating songs every now and then but not staples) gonna be great to hear again See The Light or Horshoes And Handgrenades but I'd doubt that's happens
AndrewW91 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I don't think they'll play 21 Guns. It'll probably be The Forgotten instead. But, ya never know.
DannyDirnt Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I think Good Riddance is overrated. In my opinion The Forgotten is a better closing.
RiseDay Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I think Good Riddance is overrated. In my opinion The Forgotten is a better closing. Finally! I never thought someone would share my opinion about Good Riddance.. I think it's a good song, a very good song. But they played it for to long now. They should take a new closing song. I don't know..maybe some completly new and different..maybe a medley of JoS, Homecoming and DRB. You know, like a 30min song?!
InvaderPhantom Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Well, Good Riddance is like a two minute song, so I think they will keep playing it. I mean it's two minutes, they can just play it without making a big deal out of it. It's not like it drags their set on or anything, it's the last song... and one of their biggest hits. And come on "I hope you had the time of your life" is just the best closer to ANY concert ever. It's perfect I'm not the biggest fan of the song either because it's overplayed as fuck, but it's just the perfect closer
AndrewW91 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 One word: I'm excited to see the drunk bunny again. Unless Billie is secretly the bunny, then I guess it would be the sober bunny.
Coffemaker86 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Imagine the end of the show with this acoustic encore: Extraordinary Girl / Drama Queen Amy The Forgotten Good Riddance
Guest Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Thing is, Green Day shows are all about the energy, the excitement. It's what they do best. To have a giant section as just acoustic/slow paced songs, I don't think it'd work that well.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 One word: I'm excited to see the drunk bunny again. Unless Billie is secretly the bunny, then I guess it would be the sober bunny. I'm going to the Easter show. There has to be some sort of bunny present, I would assume.
MaterialDiamond Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Am I the only one here that wants to see them play nightlife? Haha I do too, I want to hear that bass live!I hope we get to hear the Forgotten live at some point, although I don't think they'll do it at every show. Excited to hear Dirty Rotten Bastards, I hope they'll also play Are We The Waiting?
TheNimrod51 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I actually think DRB would be a great closer for the main part of the show, like American Eulogy was. I thought that too but to me it just seems like an epic way to kick off a show.
That Dude Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Pearl Jam style! They never repeat sets and play whatever the hell they want. That's awesome and also adds surprise to the fans I feel the same way, exactly. Green Day has well over 700 songs, most of which no one ever gets to hear live.
Freezing Melons Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I'm hoping for the return of Paper Lanterns. Unreal song. And pretty much anything from Dos would be awesome, Makeout Party, Lazy Bones, Wow that's loud. I'd be so down.
