That's a great story. It feels fantastic when you experience this on your own, and everything feels exciting as you experience it - and then you meet each other people who have had similar experiences and it really goes on a life of it's own - I love that

Green Day for me were the first real artist that had a profound impact on me - everything about them, the band, the image, the message it conveyed, the sense of community it brought with it, and I think most importantly, the music

It's safe to say I wouldn't have pursued music as something I want to do in my life if not for Green Day, and I think most bands today have an acknowledgement to them - be it major or minor (it has decreased for me over time, I admit, but I still regard them as a pivotal point in my life)

They are definitely the first band I actually appreciated, alongside The Killers oddly enough. I think American Idiot, Warning, and Hot Fuss are some great albums to get into music with ;)

Yes, someone understands! haha It has a great groove. That bass line is the shit.

I absolutely love the bassline haha so great but the rest of the song just turns me off...and then I apologize and I tip my hat to you on your incredible Green Day loyalty

well i was brought up the dookie era then NU metal hit and that was my genre!!! I found AI and 21CD struck a chord with it being certainly political in places and there certainly was a gap in the market after system of a down split!!!! With the trilogy i think green day have gone back to their roots like a lot of bands that i grew up have done!! Blink comes to mind Linkin Park especially and i think they are very good so much so that i bought my ticket to go see them so cant really fault them in my eyes and music is changing so much that if you don't change your sound you get left behind like so many bands have done so

I am not disappointed at all. I grew up with American Idiot as well. I think 21cb is different then American idiot but it's the same kind of songs in my opinion. If that made any sense. 21cbd is my least favorite albums out of any they have ever made i'll admit that however, I still think it's good music. Uno dos and tre is fantastic because it does have an old sound mix with new. You're untitled to your own opinion I just can't see how nobody can not like the trilogy. I like music I can relate to and maybe it's just me but I can relate to a lot of the songs on the trilogy.

I expected a lot more, so yes I'm disappointed. I like some of the songs from the trilogy, but in my opinion it didn't have to be three albums, it could have been one.
