US rescheduled tour dates, Ticketmaster cancellation claims, and messages from venues

I wonder if they'll start making up promo appearances like Letterman and whatnot before, during, or after this tour... the fact that said they're going on tour in March sounds like it could be misleading if, in fact, the tour itself doesn't start till the very end of the month. Maybe they'll warm up for it by doing some promo gigs...

I am a little confused by the recent announcements and speculation. Do you guys think they will add more dates later on (fall? next spring?) to make up for the cancelled dates? I had tickets for Madison in February but that has been cancelled. As someone in the midwest the only option really appears to be the rescheduled Chicago and Moline concerts. Hmm. I am eager to see.

We do not know. No new, specific cities or venues have been mentioned/announced/even speculated about. A press release from an unverifiable source said "West Coast dates coming in 2013," but, again, we don't know the legitimacy of the website. And since that does say West Coast, not Midwest, that obviously doesn't help you any! So, no, nothing yet. As far as we know, Green Day's current outlook is rescheduling these dates for March and April, and then the European dates.

If these dates are proven to be accurate, my show (Pittsburgh) will occur on Easter. Sounds good. I'm sorry to everyone who has a cancelled show date.

My $.02 worth: Whether they add additional dates or tour legs will depend on how everything feels and goes after they get back out on stage again. If Billie (not just Billie, but the whole entourage!) is able to stay clean, if whatever stress and anxiety-management techniques Billie's been working on for the past few months to help with all that work well enough for him....and just as importantly, if they're still having fun playing live together, then I expect we'll see some more dates.

The source appears to be the owner of the Portland venue where one of the known-definite cancellations occurred, so at this point I'm viewing this as an authoritative leak of a not yet finalized/approved for public consumption presser. I don't take anything in it (except for the three venues where refunds have been made) as truth until the band confirms what the new tour dates are, but it's helpful at this point for holding dates open in your calendar if/where that's possible. I wouldn't go booking hotels or flights based on it.

Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored on the new dates and refunds will be available for the gigs that have been canceled. More West coast shows will be announced in early 2013. The canceled dates:

It means the venue will accept the tickets that were purchased before the tour got postponed so you wouldn't need to buy new ones. :)

That's awesome!! :D Plus the Uncasville date was just confirmed by Ticketmaster, too, so that means they're even more likely!
