Harry Potter. Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I'm actually hoping for another punk rock opera because that's the Green Day I fell in love with. Oh yes yes yes! Same here. That epic, serious sound of Green Day like Brutal Love, Dirty Rotten Bastards or Jesus of Suburbia, THAT's the Green Day I like.

mechanicalman Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 A tragic split followed by Mike's version of Wings, while Tre does the voice over for the brand new series of Thomas the Tank Engine.
Yaz. Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I haven't watched the Quatro thing on television so can somebody tell me what is that Billie said and everyone is talking about? There's a clip where Billie talks about bands that take time off, and then goes on to say how they want their evolution to continue. "Let your audience grow with you, and grow up with you, and at some point grow old with you."
Vic_Rattlehead Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 A tragic split followed by Mike's version of Wings, while Tre does the voice over for the brand new series of Thomas the Tank Engine. So will Billie become a political activist followed by a house husband, or make a triple album followed by a fairly mediocre career with a few great singles?
mechanicalman Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 So will Billie become a political activist followed by a house husband, or make a triple album followed by a fairly mediocre career with a few great singles? That's the question. It all depends on his thoughts on Japanese women.
Clayish Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 2015 sounds about right. I expect a much more mature album compared to the trilogy. I think it's pretty obvious that Billie has been writing while he's had down time in rehab, and I think we could see some very dark material in the future.
Guest Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Tre does the voice over for the brand new series of Thomas the Tank Engine.I don't want anything more from life than for this to happen.

Yeah thats the most realistic thing to happen because they may just take a break after the tour they're getting ready for. I'm not sure about the darker tone though. I like lazy bones and I think thats a dark song, but Insomniac was a dark album, and it's not my favorite. Other than Panic Song, 86, and Stuart And The Ave, I didn't really care for it.
Chuckk Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 They actually have made 2 ALBUMS that hit the world hard.. Talking about Dookie and AI, there aren't many artist with 2 mega succesful albums And to me.. They love making music, and even if the don't make anything groundbreaking, ever, as long as it's real and good, i don't care about reputation

That'll give them three hit albums in each decade.
mechanicalman Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I don't want anything more from life than for this to happen. I agree, but I'm not that fussed about the Tre part.
Guest Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I agree, but I'm not that fussed about the Tre part.I like you Jesus.

pedro_s00 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Tre will become a country music star after release his first solo single "Dominated Love Slave part II" a duet with Taylor Swift. The videoclip will be a S&M sextape between them
! Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 Insomniac is absolutely fantastic. Ehhh I mean its not bad, but those songs that I listed are the only ones that I play repeatedly. Ohh and I forgot to put No Pride in there.

blitzkriegdeb Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Collaboration album with Jay-Z & Kanye.
! Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 No Geek Stink Breath? You shall burn in hell. Haha, I like the message of the song but I just can't listen to it out of nowhere
failure00 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Insomniac is my favorite album. It has been since 1995. I think if the trilogy, specifically Uno and Tre, had the same type of distortion/guitar tones as Insomniac, it could have been something special.
Vic_Rattlehead Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 That's the question. It all depends on his thoughts on Japanese women. Well he smokes, so maybe he'll go the Harrison route leaving Jason to marry a crazy asian lady and go mental
Jean Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I totally agree with releasing the Dookie and American Idiot albums with extras. Maybe the B-sides and demos and like what was mentioned above, the documentary. And a new greatest hits. Plus the AI movie. Maybe the guys will write like one more new song for the credits or something. And if they don't do anniversary releases then why not an Anthology or something like The Beatles did. I know a lot of the studio demos are already online but I'd like to hear them in a decent quality (I hate listening to mono with my headphones). As for new album, I'd say 2015 or 16. I expect darker, songs inspired by Billie's rehab and all of that. Maybe something that goes way against the dance/pop trend we have now.
musso_kn Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I would like to hear some real, proper experimentation, where Nimrod and Warning left off. But they should take their time, and produce something really special and beautiful. And as mentioned before, they need to redevelop the sense of seriousness they lost with thus trilogy. The trilogy is interesting to listen to, with certain great tracks, others fillers, and the lyrics are fun, but that kind of sentiment is difficult to sustain. I'd also really like to see them inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame in the next 5 to 10 years. They've been highly relevant for two decades, this could be their third if they play their cards right. But before any of that, Billie needs to spend time at home with his family, recover and THEN they need to complete a big ass world tour. And I need to get round to seeing them.
