Is Green Day gaining momentum with a different crowd?

I've never understood or picked up on the faux British accent thing. But maybe that's because I AM British, so even when he tries his accent still sounds thoroughly American Anyway, I've always found the nasal quality in his voice very charming. It's a shame it's not so obvious anymore.

"British accent" always sounds funny to me. There's no British accent, unless you think English, Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh accents all sound the same. If Billie sings with a faux-anything accent it's a faux-English accent. Although it sounds pretty American to me , only a tiny hint of English in there.
