ThisMoonlife Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I don't care if this meme is overused: http://i2.kym-cdn.co...r-here-meme.png This is the perfect opprtunity. Thank you sir.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I beg to differ. DRB is probably more "epic" than Brutal Love though. That's why I said besides DRB. I can get off to simple rock, but when a band does something that goes beyone just simple rock sterotypes, I feel it's what makes an artist an artist. Thank you sir. If I had a computer I'd scratch out the bad and put dumb ;P
WrongWayToSalvation Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 you're a towel What in the hell does that mean? Does that mean tool? And what does goat mean? I'm so out of touch with people my age, it's sad
TheNimrod51 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I'm also in love with the ". She's my blood, ect.." breakdown in 'Missing You'. I sing out loud to that part and I NEVER EVER sing. It's one of the many many manyyy highlights to this gem of an album. I need to praising this so much...
WrongWayToSalvation Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Walk Away reminds me so much of 21 Guns. And 21 Guns is the greatest song of all time, so hi five dude! .... *cough* I mean... Dude, the entire thing is on YouTube it doesn't get any easier than that. Unless you're mentally retarded, but hey, at least you have the strength of 10 men.
BlackBaboon Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 What in the hell does that mean? Does that mean tool? And what does goat mean? I'm so out of touch with people my age, it's sad What in the hell does that mean? Does that mean tool? And what does goat mean? I'm so out of touch with people my age, it's sad south park reference. Goat is Greatest Of All Time I believe
TheNimrod51 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 you're a towel That reminds me of south park..
WrongWayToSalvation Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 south park reference. Goat is Greatest Of All Time I believe Ohhhh, I thought it was a Fallout 3 reference

ThisMoonlife Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 What in the hell does that mean? Does that mean tool? And what does goat mean? I'm so out of touch with people my age, it's sad No you are probably more mature than the rest of this community which is why you don't understand things.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 This is the best name calling you can come up with. I'll give you another chance. Make it good...please... I'm not upset yet You buffalo fucking, redneck, inbred, cheap, gaping asshole prostitute. That probably took care of the "mature" thing
ThisMoonlife Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 haha not name calling i just love an opportunity to say it its all good! Man I can never tell what is going on. I am permanently confused.
Guest Honey Emerald Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Just finished listening to two albums. Neither iDos! nor iTre'! are my cup of tea... I have been listening to this band for years with rose colored sunglasses and now I want to do this number: I listened to the song Warning again... I have a whole new point of view for it...when taking the lyrics without thinking of sarcasm... the song is in ruins. I am worried.
spark in the night Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Dirty Rotten Bastards 4:24 - 5:10 is a slowed down version of Shoplifter.
AfterShock Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 This is probably extremely weird, but the very very absolute beginning of Brutal Love makes me think of Nirvana's 'Heart Shaped Box' it's like the same 2-3 notes or something. I can't shake it. AHHH CANNOT UNHEAR
LogikaX Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I've written my share of songs, don't you worry. I may not be amazing as Green Day, but I know what I'm doing. And at least Green Day's old choruses were WORTH repeating. Hearing "I wanna be your troublemaker" means nothing to me, while the chorus of Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? is deep and it's relatable to A LOT of people. I mean, I guess that's my point, how many of these songs are relatable to us. Lazy Bones? The Forgotten? And man, I feel bad for the child that will have to call you a dad one day, I truly do. Just wanted to say that you've been getting a lot of flack, but I absolutely agree with your original point. The lyrics in this trilogy are very "eh" to me. Not too many memorable or relateable moments. And a lot of redundant moments.
AndarB Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Billie Joe's vocals are AWESOME on TRE! My favourites are definitely Sex, Drugs & Violence, Little Boy Named Train, Amanda, Walk Away, 99 Revolutions & especially Dirty Rotten Bastards!
Jace Peterson Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Brutal Love is the best fucking Green Day song ever. I am IN LOVE with it! AHHHHHHHHHHHH
NimrodsWithInsomnia Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I hear a bit of Fell For you in Missing you And Church on Sunday!
Dai. Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I am liking it so much! Definitely more than Two, still deciding about Uno. It's calmer and more "me" than any Green Day album since, like, Insomniac.
