blitzkriegdeb Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'll repeat myself: there wasn't a part in the video where I thought, "Oh, the band would fit in great here". Putting the band in would've made it look forced and awkward. The video has a storyline: this guy's heart is straying away from the one he truely loves, whether he likes it or not. He's trying to chase his heart to get it back, but he realizes at the end that it's too late, and that his heart will continue to stray towards something he's not supposed to have (in this case other girls). Putting the band in, in my opinion, would've derived away from the story and taken time away from developing the storyline. Plus, the subtle Green Day references make it obvious that its a Green Day video without trying to force it out there.
Guest Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I love the storyline but it's missing the boys... ):
insomniax Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I want to do things with that man. That's all. Damn.
Firecracker Lell Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I was watching it for the 2nd time on You Tube 7 suddenly it got deleted due to Warner Music Shit! Suck it
Sixtrix Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I love the video so much. And I'm not bothered with the band not being in it at all. Mainly because it actually worked without the band featuring in it. I totally love the concept of the video. He is following his heart which takes him to all these different places and women. It's cool how you see him kind of struggling to get his heart back. Because when you, a man, commit yourself to a relationship, the girl expects you to give her your heart, like promising shes got all your love. But once the girl in the video realized he left his heart with someone else she kicks him out. I guess that's what the song is about. Your head tells you that you want to be with that person but your heart acts differently. And because you keep following your heart, which contradicts with what your head tells you what would be the right thing to do, you just can't have the person you know you should be with I want Rob to direct the next Green Day video too!
Lulu Flowers Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Where were the fans? I didn't really see any extras. I was cast in it, but then they found out I was under 18 and said I couldn't go. Whoops...
QueenOfSuburbia Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Ah heart smoking cigarettes haha! Great video!
pasalacqua91 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Where were the fans? I didn't really see any extras. I was cast in it, but then they found out I was under 18 and said I couldn't go. Whoops... Yeah I'm wondering the same thing...
Slave To The Network Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I know it's already been said about a million times, but... I miss Green Day!
gloria123 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 it took a few minutes for me to figure out what was happening...but once i did i though it was great! and it was well done!
whatsername Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Love the video. The little heart dude is so entertaining to watch!
Florence Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Ah heart smoking cigarettes haha! Great video! "Isn't smoking bad for your heart?" Oh the irony!
JDookie Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 But I thought the song had a happy ending! Anyway, I love that video
EmmaCharlatan&Saints Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Seriously if you dont like the video because green day arent in it. your just being extremly fickle
Makingyourmascarableed Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I really liked it. Gave a great interpretation and it honestly didn't need the boys to be the focus. The little references did justice and I really want a guy to get me those vinyls...
NotTrain Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 This is my first post, and I was wondering, in the music video at around 3:30, did anybody else notice the red light flashing? I thought it was a cool little reference for us Green Day fans
GuitarPunk94 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 This is my first post, and I was wondering, in the music video at around 3:30, did anybody else notice the red light flashing? I thought it was a cool little reference for us Green Day fans haha..i just rewatched the music video again and noticed this too the video is full with GD references ^^ and Welcome to GDC btw ;D
Batgirl Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 This video is freaking awesome. And it's also great that fans got to be in it. Now they must be like "OMG I'm actually in a Green Day music video!". And it's also cool that the guy bought Green Day vinyls. I'm one of those
iScottie Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'm not going to lie, I love the song, but I didn't like it. I thought it was one of the stupidest videos I've ever seen. The only thing that I enjoyed were the x's on the poster, similar to the album covers. They could have used the money they spent making this video on something different.
JellyTime Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 This music video is amazing! Of course, I miss the band, but even without them, the video is very interesting. But I think the heart has ventricular fibrillation You can watch video on this site (it won't be deleted): http://muzyka.onet.p...,wiadomosc.html
Yaz. Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I like it, it has a nice quirky concept but still subtle Green Day references
