Comrade Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 My housemate just gave me the file, going to wait half an hour for my best mate to come over for the first listen.
Guest Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 "It's Fuck Time" just makes me so happy. Only Green Day.
perfectpitchrob Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 This website is selling Dos! on colored vinyl: http://www.furnacemfg.com Nice find! although I bet that's an older image as Drama Queen appears to be the 7th track, not Stray Heart.
JaHawk2009 Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Listened to it a few times now, but not had a solid listen. Seems to me so far that its a great album, let down slightly (IMO) by Wow! That's Loud, and Stray Heart but only because I've listened to Stray Heart so much. Can't wait for my CD to arrive now!!
The DJ Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I've listened to Stray Heart (before downloading Dos!) a total of 39 times according to iTunes. Never gets old! Might be in my top 5 off Dos! Listened to it a few times now, but not had a solid listen. Seems to me so far that its a great album, let down slightly (IMO) by Wow! That's Loud, and Stray Heart but only because I've listened to Stray Heart so much. Can't wait for my CD to arrive now!! Stray Heart NEVER gets old (IMO.) Everything that I need I need from that song. BA-BLAM.
Travis Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Doesn't give download links but specifically says how to download them. YouTube links are fine. Nudging people towards instructions on how to download YouTube videos is fine. Saying, "Hey guys, download it directly at this link!" is problematic. In that case, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ygKLf8ewQY&feature=g-high-u Wow! That's Loud!
gmcloughlin Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Lazy Bones is brilliant. It's so me. And Fuck Time is way better than I thought it would be
desecrator09 Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Ending the album with Amy is a lot like how Warning ends with Macy's Day Parade, very somber.
Travis Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 The way I see it, if YouTube allows a song to be published, it's their fault until they remove it lol.
Guest Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Ending the album with Amy is a lot like how Warning ends with Macy's Day Parade, very somber. Yeah, but I like it. It's kind of the few minutes after the last couple of guests have left the party, and you're left to stop for a second and catch your breath. Haven't listened to it all the way through yet, but will once work ends. "Wow, That's Loud" sounds great so far
Clayish Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I've heard from a bunch of my friends that Nightlife is the most cringe-worthy thing Green Day has ever done. Really surprised that people are enjoying it, but I gotta see for myself. Still so pumped, this week is gonna blow.
StefanD Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 told my self i would wait...had a shitty week so screw that!!!!! im getting me some ¡dos!
Sleeper Agent. Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I'm not listening to any songs that haven't been released (Officially) until the album comes out
Guest Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Stray Heart's getting a (proper) video so we know that'll be a single... I'm half expecting Fuck Time to be one too. It fits the trilogy releases perfectly: it'll be too rude for radio and the video will be filled with half-naked women. I have no idea how they'd ever make Fuck Time radio-friendly. The song would be 30 seconds long I hope they do it, though. "Oh baby baby it's fun time!". The way I see it, if YouTube allows a song to be published, it's their fault until they remove it lol. Pretty much.
The Grohl Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I'm not listening to any songs that haven't been released (Officially) until the album comes out Same here. Waiting til next week ftw
The DJ Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Loving the album.... I'm gonna go ahead and give it an 8.5/10 (Everyone gave Warning that... AHEM. Warning is a 9.7/10 IMO.)
! Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I never listened to the Foxboro Hot Tubssl stuff, so does Dos sound like their FHT stuff?
Jorik Van de Ven Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I'm not listening to any songs that haven't been released (Officially) until the album comes out That would be really hard for me. With all the positive comments that are posted here.
Hermione Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I have no idea how they'd ever make Fuck Time radio-friendly. The song would be 30 seconds long I hope they do it, though. "Oh baby baby it's fun time!". I hope so too! Personally I'd enjoy "Oh baby baby it's *BEEP* time", just for the ridiculousness of it.
sauser Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 ashley is one of my favorite green day songs ever - this record is the best so far of the 3. amazing songs.
Travis Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 The different styles, vibes, and additions of melodies from old to brand new, this album really kicks ass. They surely know how to start something, build it up, climax it, and leave us thirsting for the conclusion!
Hermione Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I never listened to the Foxboro Hot Tubssl stuff, so does Dos sound like their FHT stuff? Oh my, you should give it a listen and judge for yourself! It's amazingly fabulous. I'll start you off
The DJ Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Nightlife is an extremely adventurous song (in a good way.) It doesn't sound like Green Day, but I like it better that way because it gives us a different look at what the band can produce.
