LazyPhil Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 When listening to Lazy Bones I always expect the song to fade out after Bilie Joe sings "and I think you look like shit", it feels weird after listening the preview for months ! I think that's it's my favorite song of the album so far

I am at Makeout Party right not and my favorite track so far is Lazy Bones. Though I think 99 Revolutions will be my favorite track out of the whole Trilogy.

perfectpitchrob Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Wow That's Loud's breakdown makes it feel the sides of my face are being crushed in with low end, and with a poprocks sound in the high end...y'know...but in a really positive way! That song was a pleasant surprise. Also, Ashley sounds just as NME put it, an early 80's punker like Husker Du. I love the "aaaaaaaahhh" backing vocals as well.

I prefer it to Uno at this early stage but Uno got old for me quite quick (except for Kill the DJ, still loving that track). Although I can see the Foxboro Hot Tubs within it, I wouldn't call it the second Foxboro Hot Tubs record at all, it sounds WAY too clean (as in production-wise). I'd describe it more as Green Day and Foxboro Hot Tubs "collaborating" and it sounds fucking good as a result! Tre can wait a while, I'll be humming these tunes for a while yet!
