It mentions "my middle name is danger" but Billie neither made that phrase up nor thought of the idea to use it as a real name himself, it's an old phrase and he got the idea to use it as a name from Austin "Danger" Powers. I think he just thinks it's a cool phrase so he decided to put it in the song to describe a badass character. Looking at the rest of the lyrics I don't see how anyone could possibly think they're about his son, they describe a dangerous, murderous, out of control character not a young teenage son. The line might be a little shout out but the song clearly isn't about him. Yeah you're right. Plus "Year of the Rat" is Billie not Jakob (unless they both are, then I stand corrected ) edit: never mind, didn't read properly and realise that someone had already confirmed that. haha. The thing I don't get though is who the fuck would shoot the babysitter? That's probably a metaphor for a fucked up childhood or something. (Before anybody shouts at me, that's just a personal guess, not implying anything about Billie, etc...)

How is talking about one of Dos's songs, off the topic of Dos the album? o_O. The "my middle name is Danger" thing made me think of Jakob too (of course), but listening to the rest of the song I was like OK, he's just talking about sounding dangerous... I have the backing vocals of "Nightlife" stuck in my head right now idk why, it isn't even the last one I listened to. I guess cause we are talking about it (well, people mentioned it) and it is rather... I wanna say "catchy" but I usually think of that as being for more upbeat-sounding stuff. Anyway. I don't remember much of the rap part yet XD. It'll all be memorized in time, though.

At around the 1:55 mark we get the lyrics "Amy, Please don't go!", the second time he sings it there is a really jarring fade to a different take of the song. It's awful. Who in the fuck though that sounded at all natural? The song itself is great, I love the guitar and the lyrics are beautiful; but that one moment really stands out on each listen.

Came here to express excitement only to find everybody already heard and talked about the leaked Dos, bummer. Oh well I'm on my own then. It would be nice if somebody starts a new thread for those who will hear the album for the first time today and wanna share first impressions with others who did the same. The reason I waited is that I don't like compromised quality of mp3s on the first listen, I don't mind 320kbps mp3s for my iPod but that first listen has to be CD quality for me.

Wild One is beautiful and perfect, Nightlife is fresh and I love it, the melody and chord progression for Baby Eyes is amazing (that song deserves more love) Fuck Time is just epic... I could go on and on. I'll continue promoting around my school for the next week!

Must be because I put my hearing aid aside that I don´t hear it...? Repeated it but I don´t hear an awful, jarring sound...? Well sometimes it´s good to be a bit older - you don´t realise eyery frequence anymore... can give you more pleasure... sometimes...

I am not audiophile, but I cannot hear what you are talking about at all.

I can see why some people don't like Nightlife but I can't stop listening to it. The lyrics aren't anything special but being able to rap it makes me feel so badass

I was thinking the same about them still having Uno. I guess I'll be waiting until later in the day before I decide what I'm doing. This is definitely frustrating though.
