Sanity Loan Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I have a feeling this isn't for good reasons
farley drexel hatcher Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Yep, iTunes UK is saying December 7th too now.
Stuart&Ave Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I have a feeling this isn't for good reasons Me too iTunes in Canada still says January 15th for both versions, but I'll check tomorrow to see if there's an update.
1039SweetChildren Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I have a feeling this isn't for good reasons If Billie's not gonna be back to promote in early January, the album would be doomed. Music doesn't sell after the holidays. If The Forgotten/Twilight is gonna be the best promo for the record, moving it to December is the best way to cut their loses.
iScottie Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I really hope they don't cancel the tour, but I have a bad feeling about it :/
Raven93 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I think .... If it is out on the 7th of December then since we are hearing no promo from dos I guess all the focus is on TRE ?
KGLWW Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 21CB came out on a friday. That maybe true, but I think I actually had it on the U.K store. It still says Nov. 13 for Dos and January 15th for Tre in the U.S. Store. Amazon it is the same. I don't where everyone is getting this from. Did it come from an email? Because the site sure doesn't say different. And did anyone notice on itunes it says 21CB was released May 9, 2009. I'm pretty sure it was released on May 15th. So, we do know that is a mistake. Why would people be seeing two different dates unless something was wrong? It is weird tho if someone saw the same different date on second site. Hope it is true but still really skeptical.
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I'm still getting January 13th. I always presumed they just treated the UK as one country, maybe they have updated England's itunes and not Scotland's for some reason?

I am getting the same :/ I looked at the song 99 revolutions itself on iTunes and it says 7th December ?
WhiteTim Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Dec 7th may be the release date for the single...
Cori Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I really hope they don't cancel the tour, but I have a bad feeling about it :/ The'd postpone it, a la Bono breaking his back and U2 moving their entire North American leg from summer 2010 to summer 2011. They wouldn't cancel it.
blitzkriegdeb Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I have a feeling this isn't for good reasons Got the same feeling. I keep trying to justify it in my head, but I don't know. I get the feeling that the trilogy is going to get swept under the rug, so to say. Like, it seems like no one (specifically Warner) is as confident about the trilogy as they were when Uno was released, and now they're trying to deal with Dos and Tre in a pretty haphazard way. Probably just being paranoid, but again, who knows.
farley drexel hatcher Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Well we already know that at least some of the tour is being postponed/cancelled as Jason's other band announced a show that would otherwise clash with one of Green Day's december shows. But I feel like that has been inevitable all along. I don't know how much 'worse' it could get really?

farley drexel hatcher Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 oh its actually on the same day? i thought it was a few days before (which is still not good). damn... Yeah there's another date now for December 1st.
spark in the night Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Isn't Tre's birthday on Dec 7th? Haha Yeah the future's not looking bright. We'll get albums and that's it. But I'm just speculating and jumping to conclusions.
Sanity Loan Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Isn't Tre's birthday on Dec 7th? Haha The 9th. Would have been funny if it was the 7th
spark in the night Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 They should do it! It's only fitting.
Raven93 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 The fear I have is that Warner has taken a look at the UNO album sales ( half a million right now I think ) and decided that the trilogy just isn't gonna work and rush the TRE date forward to put it under the rug and move on :/

Thank you.
Raven93 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 You're the only rational person so far. Thank you. Your welcome Which reminds me ..... How many albums is green day contracted for under Warner bros records ?
Sanity Loan Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Your welcome Which reminds me ..... How many albums is green day contracted for under Warner bros records ? Not sure. But the trilogy counts as only one
Heather. Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 If this is true it gives me that icky feeling, because while I had resigned myself to the fact that Dos' promotion was doomed to shit due to the band's current circumstances, I had hoped that Warner was planning to regroup and attack fiercely come January. A move to December (and early December, mere weeks after Dos) suggests that there will be none of that and they have no hopes of making any kind of splash. Incredible how much shifting of expectations can go on in a Green Day fan's head. Remember in July/August we were reading all these epic descriptions of the media onslaught coming our way, with all signs pointing toward a glorious PR experience. It's hard to say if that would have been the case had Billie remained available (I don't think his situation accounts for UNO's success/failure at all, but DOS might...), but it's sad to think the story of these albums might wind up tragic considering they should be received with wide and open arms, but several factors have conspired to prevent it. Oh well, c'est la vie. At the end of the day we're getting so much awesome music. I can get over the commercial implications.
