solongfromthestars Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Like a few others I wasn't sure on the first listen but loved it by the second one! It might have been even better a bit faster but whatever. The music fits the lyrics perfectly.
Yojimbo Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 It's awesome. And thank god I downloaded the video from youtube yesterday. What I don't get is why so many people are bitching about it. As someone on the first page said, it is your own damn fault for listening to the live version of the song so much and expecting the studio version to be more or as energetic as the live one.
Kitty Purry Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 OMG this song is amazing!!! And AARON PAUL is gonna be in this so I AM DEFINITELY WATCHING THIS!!!
Mar Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Don't love it, certainly don't hate it. I now have "I'll make you surrender, I'll make you surrender" in my head after only one listen, though. It's probably the first song from the trilogy that became an earworm for me that quick.
GreenFighter Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Well I for one love it! I liked UNO but I think DOS is just gonna to me personally be so much better. This song just adds to the excitement. To me this song is fast enough, exciting enough, and just damn good.
Yojimbo Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 OMG this song is amazing!!! And AARON PAUL is gonna be in this so I AM DEFINITELY WATCHING THIS!!! Ummm, what? Are you talking about the game?
Kitty Purry Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Ummm, what? Are you talking about the game? oop thats what i get for not reading things properly aaron paul is gonna be the lead of a new need for speed movie but i just googled its probably gonna be released in 2014
Red Lights Flash Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I actually didn't like the live version, but I love the studio version. It's slower, making everything much more pronounced. The vocal melody to this song is just mighty cool. If the songs I haven't heard are decent, then ¡Dos! is shaping up to be one of my favorite albums.
yuridookie Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I do not want to hear the studio version before 13
Chuckk Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Did someone download the video/song from youtube? I just woke up and it's gone .. so .. PM me good people

Breakdown_EE Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 Did someone download the video/song from youtube? I just woke up and it's gone .. so .. PM me good people go to the first page of the tread ( i updated the videolink to a working one)
Comic Sans Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 i respect everyones opinion about the song.. but damn, will anything ever be good enough for some of you? some of the people here complained about EVERY song/single that was released. i don't know if it's because of how different everything is or what. some of you here would bitch if you were hung with a new rope. open your mind up a little bit. well said.
BadBrain Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Wow this is such a fun song! iDos! sounds like it's gonna be very good
WrongWayToSalvation Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 If you find this song boring or the worst of the trilogy so far I have two things to say: 1. This is better than any song on UNO! any day of the week. 2. Prepare to be extremely disappointed because you won't be treated to clean, generic pop music from here on out with maybe the exception of Nightlife. First point is an opinion, second is also an opinion. Also how is Nightlife generic pop music. Let me guess, because it has Rap in it? Although I have no idea how Rap = generic Pop music. Or is it because it has effects in in? In my opinion, a good artist uses all tools availabe to them, including the studio, which is a musical extension in its own right.
Stefano Bras Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Stop when the red lights flash is the badest Song so far from the Trilogy in my opinion .. but it´s ok BADDEST?!?!?! BADDEST!??!? Are you saying Troublemaker, Carpe Diem etc... are better than this?
WrongWayToSalvation Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 BADDEST?!?!?! BADDEST!??!? Are you saying Troublemaker, Carpe Diem etc... are better than this? Baddest isn't even a word...
Yojimbo Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I don't love this like I immediately loved Stray Heart or any of my favourites on UNO, but I like it a lot more than the lesser UNO tracks (Which in my opinion were Troublemaker, Loss of Control, Angel Blue). It's good, it's enjoyable, but I'm not head over heels. The three tracks you just said are my favorites. Well, maybe not 'Troublemaker', but it's got a great guitar solo.
jona92 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Don't really like the song.. well not yet, but I've listened to it couple og times now and it annoys me some how.. "I'll make you surrender" is stuck in my head. But don't get me wrong, we got 34 new Green Day songs, chances are we don't like all of them. DOS! is gonna be epic!!
San Miguel Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 I really like it. and i think, playing live, they could link it to St Jimmy if they wanted as the guitar has a similar sound. i also think that once people have heard all 3 albums it will be much easier to figure out what are your favourites and what aren't. because we've still got so much to be released it changes expectations of each album, and what the singles should be etc..
jona92 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 BADDEST?!?!?! BADDEST!??!? Are you saying Troublemaker, Carpe Diem etc... are better than this? we all have our opinions. I don't like it either. it's not the baddest from the trilogy, but it really annoyed me, got the "i'll make you surrender" part stuck in my head all day
jacknovella Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Fucking amazing....so much energy during the intro...it just sounds like sex?
Chuckk Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 To me, SWTRLF is little retarded brother of Let Yourself Go. almost nothing-saying song ... it seems like they had the idea of "I'll make you surrender" part and the rest is weak... even the "solo" which is shame to call "solo" ... BUT ... i'm not saying the song is bad ... just weal ... like i think the whole Dos will be.
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 If you find this song boring or the worst of the trilogy so far I have two things to say: 1. This is better than any song on UNO! any day of the week. 2. Prepare to be extremely disappointed because you won't be treated to clean, generic pop music from here on out with maybe the exception of Nightlife. It's clearly filler. Also considering Nightlife is the oddest, most unusual track we've heard so far, what a completely bizarre statement about generic pop music. To me, SWTRLF is little retarded brother of Let Yourself Go. almost nothing-saying song ... it seems like they had the idea of "I'll make you surrender" part and the rest is weak... even the "solo" which is shame to call "solo" ... BUT ... i'm not saying the song is bad ... just weak ... like i think the whole Dos will be. Agreed with all of this until the last point.
