No offense to the great Sir Livermore, but I've heard about Green Day being like the Beatles at Shea Stadium, and even in his book it was a lot of the same "they were kids... they had something special... Tre was hanging out on a mountain..." It's a nice story but the man has got to have some new details to share for this!

On his Facebook page not so long back he asked what the fans wanted to hear about Green Day in the early days, and the answer that kept coming up was something we haven't heard before. It's cool of him that he asked I think, instead of just defaulting to the same story.

It's cool of him that he asked I think, instead of just defaulting to the same story. Agreed. I know he cares about Green Day fans and punk fans in general and wants to please the audience. At the same time, you get the impression he's drained everything he could think of to say! Certainly he has a lot of personal memories, and especially staying friends with the guys through the years, but maybe those aren't things he wants to share "Oh, like the time I went to Mike's for Thanksgiving dinner..." He should have stories from inside the studio recording which I feel like he hasn't talked about much.
