pdx2ord Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I had several immediate reactions to the trilogy song hash tag photo, none of which was, "this must mean a trilogy themed show soon." Think it was the suicidal image he chose to pair with it that tells me the majority of the trilogy songs will probably never make it into the regular tour set lists. Sorry to burst your happy bubbles. It has to be extremely disappointing for them even if having soooo many other songs people want to hear is a good problem to have (ask most other bands). Thought was odd the all caps on Little Boy Named Train. Either he is wondering what he was thinking with that song or, because he says it is one of the most personal for him, it's one anout which he is most sad. Speculating is fun!

AngelBlue_ Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Why did he have so many "................................................................." after DrB? #Hmm my guess is that all these songs he wrote are "theforgotten" cause they never played them live or rarely played...so he wrote: "Blablablabla..............the forgotten". if you read carefully his list, there are NO 99revs, oh love, Stay the night...which were regularly played and are known by the majority of fans(I hope), but he wrote those songs which are "forgotten" ...maybe after playing walk away yesterday,he remember that the trilogy exists but It's too late now cause the tour is over edit: Brutal Love is on his list, so my guess is wrong oh Billie you're so enigmatic sometimes

Just don't know if he's sad about it or not. well i don't know too...I think that Billie has kind of a love/hate relationship with the trilogy...idk...cause before rehab,they played A LOT of trilogy...so he seems to love it so much...but after rehab, some songs mysteriously disappeared...even if they were played during soudcheck! like Lazy bones was played at the soundcheck in Bologna, DRB in Milan, several times they played Nuclear family and Loss of Control, Drama Queen was played at the soundcheck in Berkeley....IDK...maybe they are "afraid" to play them in public since the trilogy hasn't sold much and prefer to play the most known songs...i remember in Rome,when they played Missing you, I was feeling like I was the only one to know and sing that song ,really,it was sooo weird I really hope they'll start to play more trilogy songs in the next tour...

"Canelo" is the surname of a boxer who faced off against some other boxer Mayweather... there was a tweet a few months ago about Billie Joe staying home to watch that fight (I guess he's a boxing fan?)... so that's where the name came from and that's why Tre said "knock out"

Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 You gotta wonder if the new tour that presumably will start with Australia will be another Trilogy named tour, or if it'll be a full-on 20th Dookie/10th AI hits tour. I hope the former for obvious reasons but I'm doubtful. In truth, neither would really be a good idea, IMO.
