yenom2003 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 So bummed. I got a calltime of 5:45am, but I had to miss it because of some previous engagements I have today. I thought I would be down there all day, but turns out (as Kelly posted) that my group would have been done by 8:30 and I could have made it home in time for the other shit I have to do :sad:. Being an adult sucks sometimes. I wonder what they had everyone do. I was bummed when I heard that too. I was also scheduled for the 5:45am calltime and had to miss it as well due to a job interview. If I knew it would've been so short I could've done both.
kellista Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I get it seems unlikely that the boys are there due to recent events, but it almost seems just as unlikely that they wouldn't be there. I get some artists don't appear in their videos, but at least one member has been in almost every video.

I know it requires different things but for artists a video means long hours etc and from my basic understanding of what Mike himself told Kerrang Billie is in a serious place right now health wise...his actual life is in danger (Mikes words)...im guessing they arent prioritising music videos. Cool that some GDCers are in it though!

I'd say the biggest difference being that they can film a video in California, maybe even Oakland for Green Day's part, where-as VooDoo would require the whole band and their crew to pack up and fly across the country.

I get that...but from what Mike and Rob said (the actual quotes not what the media add on/speculate) it sounds as if the guys have planned to more or less step back for the time being so i would be very suprised if they would do something as trivial as a video (there are a trillion ways to make a video without them being present eg Troublemaker, Jesus Of Suburbia etc) during this difficult time...especially since they have released so many videos lately anyway. But thats just my opinion. Guess we will know soon enough anyway.
