Tré used to be the trilogy album I was most excited about but Dos took that role  . Anyway I'm really looking forward to it, will be very interesting to hear what it's like. And I've got really high expectations for Dirty Rotten Bastards! Just because of the title and that it's supposed to be like the Abbey Road medley.

X-Kid is about not wanting to grow up and Billie's friend Brando who is on the VH1 GD bio :(

What happened to Brando actually? =/

I want to hear The Forgotten so bad *-* I'm sure it's gonna be epic! :'D

Yay, I'm glad we have official confirmation of the track list for Tré!

I'm really excited for this album. Hearing it described as "epic," and knowing that it has strings and ballads and is similar to AI & 21CB makes me really happy! It could be the best of the three..... though Dos sounds like it will be incredible too.... and Uno is also great, let's not forget that. Getting 3 new albums is like we all went to Green Day heaven.

Haven't really heard any of the songs. I've listened to part of 99 Revolutions, 8th Ave. Serenade, and Amanda. The only one I've heard all of is Drama Queen (glad it's on here, btw).

"Amanda" will be special, since that's my name. It can be my theme song! :P

But the songs I'm most excited for are Brutal Love, Missing You, The Forgotten, and Dirty Rotten Bastards, though they all sound great. The only one I'm not very excited for is 99 Revolutions, just because the recording I heard part of was kind of boring - hopefully it will be better than I expect.

He committed suicide, I think. :(

We all know though, that just because it says currently that Drama Queen will be on the record, it doesn't mean it actually will be.

I'm really looking forward to Tre cos of the descriptions we got from the interviews.

Most awaited for me: Dirty Rotten Bastards- 'The new Jesus of Suburbia' as described by Rob Cavallo.

Agreed! That's what I'm most excited for too!

Well, any of the songs from the trilogy could've been from C&V. We only knew three official tracks

Very true, either way im mega excited for Tre! In Missing You theres supposed to be mini drum solo Tre said in a magazine, i wanna hear that more than anything else on the trilogy i think haha

At least this solves the debate of whether the trilogy will include 36 or 37 tracks. 36 it is!

Um, Uno:12 Dos:13, Tre:12. That's 37. :)

What's the matter of not liking Drama Queen? I've got it stuck in my head for 4 years now and still think it's epic song ... o_o

We've heard it before and it's really not THAT good.

but that was the acousitc version, so hopefully it'll have some sick changes

I agree. It's a great song! And I don't see what the big deal is about the line "she's old enough to bleed now." Seriously? Why does that line offend people so much?

It will be interesting to hear how Drama Queen turns out. Will it still be an acoustic, simplistic song? Or will they add a lot of instrumentation to it? Maybe some strings? I'd be happy either way, and I'm excited to hear it compared to the live versions we have.

Excuse me if I this is something i should know, but do we know for certain that some of the trilogy songs are from C&W? :)

I hope that Dreamcatcher will be a b-side or something. I was very excited at the idea of hearing a studio version of that one :pinch:

Anyway, the one I'm waiting for the most is X Kid :) and 99 Revolutions which is absolutely amazing, so much "Green Day" :)

Unless I've missed something, no. None of the trilogy songs have been stated as from C&V. I still wonder about the fascination over that album. If what the guys had was good, they'd have released it by now. Trilogy songs, aside from Fuck Time, are all original (and even Fuck Time pretty much is).

Billie stated that Walk Away was going to be on C&V

Brando Committed suicide in...2008 maybe? Idk, but he was a really close friend to Billie and was just not 'growing up'. I know that feel, it's very difficult when someone you care about struggles like that :(

X-Kid is the one about their late friend. Little Boy Named Train has some sad origins too, I think. Can't remember the story though.

Yeah Little Boy Named Train is about a friend of his who is a hermaphrodite and the struggles they face as a result. It was in a magazine (Rolling Stone maybe?) and Billie said a lot of the song is also about himself.

In the Nylon interview said Brando died the last show of their last world tour so that'd be 2010-2011 i believe

Thank you! I didn't have a chance to go search that out today, so I appreciate your help :)

Right, except it's not about a friend. It was about a kid one of his sons went to school with. Billie was inspired and had wanted to write a song about it for some years now, and he finally did. I think he elaborated in the Billboard magazine.

Edit: here it is - http://www.greendayauthority.com/articles/163/5/

So Billie's son and a schoolmate who was raised by two women. One of the kid's parents was born a hermaphrodite, and they cut off his penis, and the parents wanted this kid not to be identified a a boy or girl. Also the kid didn't really have a name. Such a sad story.

How many songs on this record are ballads? I'm suspicious for them mentioning tre is gonna be epic. How to define epic? I don't get that part. Like UNO said as power pop DOS being mentioned as foxboroish. What's with tre?

Articles on the trilogy have described Tre as a mixed bag. I think there will be some Idiot/Breakdown epicness but also some experimental stuff. But we will just have to wait and see :)

8th Avenue Serenade interests me, if only because the title is reminiscent of "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", one of my favorite Springsteen songs.

Don't forget 7th Avenue Shuffle from Stop Drop and Roll. I wonder what style of music goes on on 9th Avenue

I can't wait to hear a studio version of Drama Queen!

We've heard 4 actually. 99 Revolutions, Drama Queen, 8th Avenue Serenade, and Amanda. Also at the sound check at Red 7 they played what is probably Sex, Drugs, and Violence.
