Smoothed Out Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Europe!!! http://www.mtv.tv/mu...rgotten-852159/ Thanks for that In kinda agree with you guys about the video, it does have a look of someone who's put it together on Windows Movie Maker. But the song is absolutely stunning, and even the video minus the Twilight parts I found quite emotional from a Green Day point of view, particularly at the moment anyway. Aside from that though, they have definitely ended the trilogy with the most perfect of songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9sUHLKJnShc I mean, I have nothing against Twilight being the original obviously, but this did get me just a little bit. Wow.
Rusty Blue Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Beautoful song. Pure love and optimistic song. Well, maybe most Green Day fans don't like Twilight but I do like. And the match between Green Day and Robert Pattinson is perfect. I also noticed that the song might be a goodbye song but I really hope it's not and it's just a song like Good Riddance and nothing else. damn, I would die if it's true
Undómiel Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Love the song. Not especially keen on the vid.
Sixtrix Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I can imagine all the Twillight fans getting tears in their eyes because of this song because it fits perfectly with the Twillight movies coming to an end and therefor sending a gentle farewell. Green Day on the other hand will be back for more.
Lindsay Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Love the song even more with everyone listen, think they could have made it better throwing some acoustic guitar in there but it's still great. I really don't like the video, to me it seems poorly edited and I just feel they didn't put as much time and effort into it as they could have. The song is so beautiful, I think they could have made a really interesting video to go with the song instead of just cutting and pasting clips from the movie and the band on tour/in studio, but hey, that's just me.
solongfromthestars Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 What I don't think you guys understand is most of us are disappointed at the quality of the video, not so much the fact that it's connected to Twilight. I know I'm not "hating on Twilight because it's cool." They could have easily used scenes from the movie that fit the slower pace of the ballad -- not them running through a forest or the girl jumping off of a cliff with cheesy effects. The clips were edited together very poorly and the transitions between clips were so quick for this slow song that it was distracting and IMO actually took away from the song itself and didn't present the movie in a way that would encourage anyone except fans to go see it. Yeah, this. Whether you're a Twilight fan or not, different clips might have actually worked well with the song. The ones they've chosen don't though. Never mind though. Beautiful song, sounds like it'll be a perfect closer.
Dutchiedragon Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I think it's a perfect song <3 unfortunately i haven't seen the video, it's not available in my country Anyone who can tell me what kind of video it is? Oh yess, someone has sent me the video!
St. Jimmy the Troublemaker Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 The video gets at least a million views in a day or two, mark my words.
Clockwise Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 The all Green Day fan edit is pretty great.
Ritz Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I love the violins in the song. Freaking beautiful! A perfect fusion. This couldn't get any better.
Raven93 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Well ...... The comments in the offical video on YouTube are pretty pathetic But then again it was coming tbh :/
Mr. Dude Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I actually really like the music video--a LOT. I don't quite care for that running scene, as the effects are awful, and the shot of the spider (and even that blossoming flower) have nothing whatsoever to do with anything--not even the context of the lyrics. But, this really is such a beautiful song, and is really rather fitting for the film as a nice farewell. The music video without the Twilight scenes is even better, haha. But anyway, the song is beautiful, and I hope it gets the recognition and appreciation it deserves.
Gregorovich Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Damnit, the amount of Twilight hate is really starting to annoy me. Are people really that thick? What annoys me is that Green Day are suffering for something which has nothing to do with them, but has been ignorantly associated with them and almost 'branded' to them by a bunch of dribbling morons. Oh well, at the end of the day, more Green Day for me.
BadgerLALA Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I don't care if the song is in the Twilight soundtrack. I love the song. It's beautiful.

It's a Twilight song. Because it was written for Twilight."
No Rhyme Or Reason Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Just watched the video without any Twilight scenes. This all-GD version is superior. I love the video even more now Also, people are stupid. (Not people here - other people.) This song was not written for Twilight!!!! It's a Green Day song that Twilight was allowed to use. I wish everyone understood that - it might lessen the inevitable Green Day bashing from the haters.
MaterialDiamond Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 To whoever made that second video : THANK YOU! It's so much better with all the Green Day moments!!! I just can't get over how stunning this song is.

Gregorovich Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Stupidity or just ignorance...? A bit of both
