Was just reading an interview from 2009 that he did in a magazine and was thinking it'd be so great with a new interview, now that he is even more involved with the band. Now I just have to come up with some good questions. Hope it will be a video, that would be amazing! What did you ask him? Something about the Influents? Do tell. Okay, so as the story goes- it was 2 days after Warning had been released, so 12 years ago tomorrow. The band was on a promotional tour through the northeast and stopped at the Newbury Comics in Cambridge, MA to do a signing. I won a contest through Newbury and ended up being one of the first 10 people in line. The question was stupid easy: What is the name of Billie Joe's side band? This was the night Green Day played on WBCN and Tré ended up slicing his hand on a cymbal. He went to the hospital while everybody else was escorted to the store where we were all waiting (a long time. WOMP). I asked Mike what the hell happened and he just kind of laughed it off. After the signing, a couple of friends and I were milling around outside the store in the rawness and drizzle of a typical October evening in New England. I spotted Jason with Jimmy, who was the big Samoan-looking bodyguard who used to work the side stage for them. Remember him? Well, they were standing in front of the store while Jason was smoking a cigarette. I hadn't seen them play since '97 but I recognized him from some promo photos...I just didn't know his name. So I did what anyone star-struck 17-year-old jackass would do: I marched myself right over there and excitedly asked, "Are you Timmy Chunks?!" His answer was a very disappointed "no," and then he just turned away. Ta-da! I knew Timmy's name from when he would come out and play guitar on Platypus, and run around the stage wearing that weird baby mask like in the Basket Case video. It was a stupid question that I SO wish I could take back. So one of my questions in the IC thread was the abridged version of that story, asking his forgiveness. I wonder how many "What's wrong with Billie?"'s he will get. There was at least one of those. I only got through 2 out of 18 pages in the thread though. Is there a facepalm emoticon?

In wiki it says "...got the tattoo after marrying his current wife Janna (formerly Rollins)." Not really a question for him to ask. Is his wife the ex of henry rollins!!? Not everyone called Rollins is related to Henry Rollins , it's just a normal surname. A quick google search tells me Henry Rollins has never been married, so no.

Well, he was back then, at least. I was surprised to learn that BJ is a smoker too. All the questions about being an 'official' member are beginning to annoy me. Many people don't read the whole thread before post their own question (so did i ). And if you post your question on IC it doesn't mean you will be mentioned in the interview The band announced about it in the news, so I think there is nothing bad people want to know Jason's opinion about his "official membership".

It's definitely not the best one but I still wanted to try and "be part" of this Anyways, I can't wait to see the final interview, really looking forward to it. It's always interesting to see them answer fan questions.
